Root Tethering trouble?

Ok, I know tethering is controversial...i never intended to do it. But our home internet was down during a storm last week, and I had a deadline to email an edited document to a client. So, I turned on the phone tether function in one of my apps so I could tether my computer and send the email. I used it for only about 3 minutes.

Will VM be aware I did this? How? Will I get in trouble with them? Don't want to lose my plan. Wasn't ever planning to tether...got desperate.

They now mention tethering as a function on one of there phones they offer, so they must now allow it.

People have been using tethering since they got the ov, as far as I know, most of those people have never gotten in trouble. You might get in trouble if you go over your 2gb data limit.
