The Bah-Humbug thread!

Yep uh huh.

Read it CLOSELY ... lol. Spacing is so important.

I don't blame you buddy so if I understood you correctly you don't like how commercialised it is? And how the true theme of Christmas is lost?

I agree... too much business influence in the world... I love being with my family these days... happy that I still have a r over the head...

Wow I didn't know Jesus was not born this time?

That's flipping scary!

That's disgusting that means it really is just commercialised garbage. How horrible. Nothing is real these days.

Ahh I see thanks Loony buddy I think I get what you mean ;)

I must say... I am starting to lean more and more back into God's presence... I went from being a full blown atheist ... to a more religious person... more and more over the years I have just wanted to get closer and closer to God and his presence...

I have so many questions... like why did God make everyone unequal... (unless this is only my small mind's ability to comprehend...) and then make everyone "duke it out" in life... why does god let people suffer?

There are some questions I believe I will never be able to answer... some questions that run so deep... but if I tried money... I tried loud parties and nothing can compare to the presence of the lord...

I started trying so hard to talk to the Lord again... from being an "unshakable" believer I lost my way... now I am trying as hard as can be to go back to the Lord's presence...

I tried money. I tried women. I tried all sorts of things but they never made me happy... for some reason it never brought sanity and happiness ...

Is this what you mean when you say it had become extremely commercialised Loony buddy? I don't blame you... I wish for nothing more in the world for people to love one another and come together despite my somtimes hard crusty exterior ...

I also agree in a way.

Christmas should be about God and Jesus as Lord.
I thought Christmas was about God, Jesus and The Coca-Cola Company.

Well all my shopping is done. Which is good considering my wife's birthday is the 8th of December, my anniversary is the 11th and well yea Christmas. All done online, didn't set foot in a store, and that pleases me. Oh and I had my wife lock me in a closet while the cyber Monday sales were going on so still rocking my N6, for how much longer only God knows. Could be years the way the cell phone market is going. o_O

Yeh....red is also Coca-Cola. The epitome of capitalism....loved in communist China. Also red is the luckiest colour in Chinese culture.

BTW students sing this every morning at 6:30am.

The east is red, the sun is rising.
From China comes Mao Zedong.
He strives for the people's happiness,
Hurrah, he is the people's great saviour!

Chairman Mao loves the people,
He is our guide
to building a new China
Hurrah, lead us forward!

The Communist Party is like the sun,
Wherever it shines, it is bright
Wherever the Communist Party is
Hurrah, the people are liberated!

One is the loneliest number, too. ;)

“For red and green, our comparatively recent obsession with associating these colours with Christmas masks a profound and long-forgotten other history.”

Read it, fellow humbuggers.

I used to lovw the number one.... but i have changed a lot over tiime... I started hating the number one... the isolation is starting to drive me crazy sometimes...

I love the colour red because I love......

BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!

XD

I am in hell.

My wife approaches Christmas like it were a precision military operation. There are lists ... and lists ... and even a list of lists. Each are things that must be done with budgets, limits, preferences and reciprocity factored in. She wraps each gift meticulously, making sure the paper patterns line up and the seam overlap is exactly the optimum amount. And then she tapes everything down to ensure the wrapping can withstand sustained hurricane-force winds.

We had some snow last night (although it's gone already) and we get our tree this weekend, which I like to call the spider-infested fire hazard.
