I just got a replacement Droid that wants to update to the new 2.01, I keep ignoring it because the browser lag...would most of you ignore it or update?

it's the 29th and still no 2.1 anyone have a clue to when they pushed the release date from the 22nd and what date it was pushed to? i heard rumors of it being on the first of February.

I'll feed the rumor mill with absolutely no supporting evidence. But, wouldn't it make sense to release 2.1 on February 1st? Too easy. Again, I have no evidence and nothing to back that up except my own ignorant opinion. Speculation at its finest.

No it just all makes since and I know wiki isn't that accurate but if u type n motorola droid at wiki they even say that android 2.1 will be updated by february 1st confirmed by a vzw rep.

A verizon rep also said that the droid ran winmo.

I just removed the statement saying 2.1 was coming Feb 1st and if I see it added again, I will continue to remove it until there is a hard source.

Well, the whole "every droid will have 2.1 by the end of January" rumor is dead.

But after rooting and tinkering a bit, I'm in no hurry for 2.1.

HTC eris confirmed to have update to version software 2.1 by around feb.7 or feb.8. software release date confirmed by HTC rep. assuming this Motorola should be releasing their update this week. once confirmed will check back.
