The HTC EVO 4G off-topic Banter thread

sweet I should have mine tomorrow and no later then saturday, will also be on these forums all next week so will be more then willing to answer questions

Congrats

How is the mobile hotspot in terms of 4G speed and
boot time?

Thanx
sorry i don't have 4G in San Francisco to test this. i'm running on 3G. The speed seems awesome. it loads pages faster than my Touch Pro2 for sure. Snapdragon and graphic rendering seem to be much better compare to my Touch Pro2. Loads pages using half the time it did on the touch pro2

well i dont' mind paying retail without paying tax on top of that.. and plus i get it before all of you. dont' be jealous! LOL

Congrats on getting the phone, if I did not have an upgrade waiting I would of done the same thing.

I am rather shocked at how cheap they are going for, now quit drooling and get to the reviewing:D

How much internal memory left? -

Till Froyo/root at least!
how do i check internal memory on this thing? I've been only playing for couple mins and still need to get used to all these menus and stuff..

Let's just ask Success100 questions because he is actually paying attention.
sorry i went out to dinner, that's why i didn't get to post and reply
I think htc.EVOlution is too busy playing with his new phone 2 answer questions right now! lol
nah went out for dinner.

I would love to see a picture taken by the evo at daytime outside, and night indoors with ambient light and another w/ flash. :)

Please keep comparing to your TP2 cause I am coming from a slow lagging TP2. LOL! So is it easy to type on and does speech to text really work well like people have said. I have a Yahoo email a Gmail and my like 4 pop 3's from my home internet. I tried helping a co worker set up Yahoo on his Moment and it wasn't working. Will I be able to use my yahoo one on here. I have a gmail one and really don't use it much.

I know most all my co workers have the iphone and they can't believe how obessed I am about a phone. One saw me watching a video about it on break tonight from my laptop and said are you gonna marry that phone. LOL! I've been up day and night reading forums and watching videos for 2 weeks now and I can't wait to get this phone..

WANT!
Thanks for the review. I'm 40 years old for God's sake. I shouldn't be this excited over a damn phone.

If you make a video, I'd like to see the sense music application in as much detail as possible, including the integration with the lock screen. It's probably the same as the desire, which there are videos of on youtube, but I haven't seen it yet on the Evo. Thanks!

yes... esp without a screen protector

Thanks. I guess I will be picking a screen protector up then. I also think I want to get some sort of hard case for it, even though that will cover up how great this phone looks a bit!

If you could let us know if the phone maintains its speed after installing a lot (let's say about 20-30 apps) that would be great!
