TV Channels?

I'm so old we had one TV channel, RTE, in Ireland's second city Cork.

I'm so old on Saturdays we could watch Adam West in Batman in B&W in a very old building in our big school on a projector screen.

I'm so old I can't remember why, for how much, or what else we also had to or wanted to watch.

I'm so old that my little town showed free movies on Saturday nights all summer. You brought a lawn chair or set on the grass and hoped the mosquitos didn't eat you alive.

I'm so old that the town scraped out an area and filled it with water so we could ice skate across the winter. It was also free.

I still remember the jingle to one of those old ads, "Filter, Flavor, Pack or Box".

These slogans come to mind:
I'd rather fight than switch
I'd walk a mile for a camel
Winston tastes good like a cigarette should

I don't remember any cig jingles but I have beer and soda jingles that I can't get out of my head.

Here is a Pepsi jingle from my childhood:

I googled searched this product without a hit. I guess their jingle didn't sell many automobile window AC units.

With the windows up and the temperature down
as you drive real cool all over the town
in the heat on the street on the hot highway
drive air conditioning with AMA

It's been stuck in my head for over sixty years yet I can't remember why I just walked into the kitchen.
