It's already been done to the lg ally and the palm pixi. They both have the same msm7627 processor our phones have. oGoogle "msm7627 overclock". They have gotten up to 897mhz and were stable. Isaacj87 (yeah that isaac) over on xda who is building the kernel agrees. We'll just have to wait and see.

What do you think would be the highest possible clock speed for the ascend? Maybe its just the droid 1, but when I OCed too high, it just crashed and rebooted. I would think (could be wrong) that the ascend would do the same

600MHz works just fine.
