The (maybe) "Epic" Motorola X Pre-Release Thread

Bit off topic but i think ill only prefer nav bar over buttons when we get edge to edge display. Ive tried using on-screen on my s3 but it just felt pointless.. i suppose though, they let the bezel be smaller than it would be with capacitive buttons(?)

Power management on these newer devices is amazing. I just got the S4, and was a but concerned with it only having a 2200 mAh battery and a bigger screen than my GNex. But, better radios, and other internal workings help the battery last longer. A couple of differences I noticed:
First week with my GNex, "Holy s***, the battery sucks on this thing! What can I do to get more life out of this thing?"
First week with my S4, "Huh? I haven't had to undervolt, lower display brightness, or turn off LTE. I'm finishing the day with 40% battery remaining. Aliens."

Power management is definitely better on newer devices for sure, but the GS4 actually has a 2600 mAh battery, so it is a decent size. But the Moto X will have a smaller screen and lower resolution to help offset the difference.

PhoneArena has a chart of a few other devices' AnTuTu scores - as you can see, the Moto X lands somewhere between the Note II and the G Pro, with the GS4 and HTC One leaving it far behind:

Ah, I didn't feel like popping of the back and checking or actually looking it up lol. But yeah, it's no worries with the OEM battery. Probably improved radio hardware is a big one. When LTE was on, I could watch the battery % count down like a timer on my GNex.

Any chance it will support T-Mobile in non reframed areas or use its hspa+42 ? I don't like it's non T-Mobile model

pronounced Dur Tee Dee

I do find it weird that there's been rumors/leaks for Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and US Cellular, but not T-Mobile.
