Root The Monster 4!!!

Another great one guys. I like the status bar better than 3. Also the DSP manager is cool. Keep em coming.

lol, I just did that!

I am really liking how slick and modern this is looking. The only thing is I have to get used to not having the dock fully customized with 3 docks and all my own custom icons, but I could always re-install LauncherPro....but then there goes all the prettyness.

You have done fantastic work.

Lol. You can still set icons in the dock bar on launcher pro. And Paris hooked the dock up

Yeah I just did all that. No matter what though, seems as soon as I get it just the way I want...I have to change something. I forgot to make a backup of my dock in LauncherPro before I flashed to Monster4, but I got it all straight now.

I really didn't think I would want to change after Beast, but this really is pretty damn good.

Now I have gotten into the habit of making backups. CWM, APP, and dock/homescreen backups should keep me good just in case the worst happens. Also, once I get everything straight I make a backup of the SD to pc too. Too much to lose.

I lost my first Admire after a week. Didn't do my research and installed and tried to use ROM Manager. Brick city. That won't be happening again

OMG! I had mine about a month and a half and did the same thing. I keep at least one back up. I take extra precaution now. Lol. But once the cm7 kernel and cwm are stable I'm gonna be making more roms. I'm taking a break for right now

this is exactly the kind of rom i was looking for thank you! i like the stock launcher thanks for doing that. this is my first custom rom lol and it is fast wow, oh and i noticed the camera is really laggy

Sorry if i seem whiney lol but is there any way to resize the dots on the pattern unlock?

And go back to stock camera :)

Very nice ROM!! Thank you to all that contributed. Very slick theme and very smooth usage. Cant thank you guys enough :D I also really like the "Hidden app" ;)
 
1st off I am a noob to android. I have tried the outlined steps a few times and i keep getting... E:signature verification failed Installation aborted.
I also didnt see anything in recovery to format anything only wipe.. can someone help
 
any chance to stock email app can be posted?? (not gmail). I needed for an outlook account, K9 does not play well with MS Exchange

You prob still have the cm7 kernel installed there is a stock flashable kernel thread around here somewhere,. Until we have a stock ext 4 kernel we can't use the new recovery in anything other than cm7 can't imagine how much faster beast and monster wouuld be :) if we had one

Edit :
So I got to reading there is a guide to adding ext 4 support to kernels on xda ill give it a shot and see if it works. No harm in trying it looks promising

I adjusted the DSP settings for a louder speaker, but no matter what I do I cannot get notifications to be above barely audible.

I know this was an issue on a previous ROM (not sure which one) but I don't remember how it was solved or if it was.

Everything on the ROM is perfect and I have the phone customized to a T, but I just cannot seem to figure out what is up. It is only notifications. Ringtones sound fine.

Can anyone else check theirs to see if it this way as well>?

Ive noticed that. The only loud notification tone is perfect sms, i'll check into the the volumes, it something weird i can put my finger on
 
Awesome. I am glad it was not just me or my phone. Surprised nobody else mentioned it.

And yeah, thats the only notification sound I can hear at the moment so thats what I am using.

I tried Volume+ and a few other things, but nothing really works.

I will deal with it now until you find a solution. I don't want to go back to Beast again (as awesome as it is). Not after how nice I have it all now.

Well I kinda deleted it. Redownloaded it from 4shared, Nd reinstalled. Now it installed, just not the same one. Its an earlier version and the options are limited, unlike the one in the Rom. I tried extracting it and pushing it to system/app using root explorer. Cleared data and cache of the app after I lnstalled, rebooted and when I try to open it, it force closes..
