Back from att. They called their rep and she told them they did it right. So they send me home cause the dept that deals with these issues at Motorola is closed on Sundays. I get home and mMotorola calls me. Now says go back to the store have them scan the card again and if it does not work have them call Motorola so they can figure what is going on. So the saga continues.

So far I have gotten a 50 play card. We shall see. There is no way this is happening to just me. There has to be others or at least they keep telling me that. Motorola people speak English but the accent I can't figure out. I find it harder to get things from people that just don't always get it because of language barriers.
 
The early adopters aren't testing the system and finding bugs? Are you sure we aren't?

Yes. These aren't bugs as in a quick software rollout fixes it. These are customer service issues directly related to the infrastructure Motorola has set up to process orders. When you keep bragging for weeks of a 4 day turnaround on designed phones that doesn't seem to exist, that has nothing to do with early adoption.

Also, what Vicshalls is going through is shameful on the part of both AT&T and Moto. Either entity should have stepped up by now and simply said: we apologize. We will fix your problem and get a phone to you ASAP.

Your patience is amazing. I would have walked away from the whole thing by now.
 
the end is here. I went back to att yet again. Told them that Motorola said to rescan the card and see what happens. so they tried. nothing. they called Motorola and gave them the reference number I had. my att guy now felt my pain with dealing with motorola. he had to repeat himself so many times cause the Motorola rep just was not getting it. in the end they voided my purchase and issued me a new card. what is going to be interesting is to see if I get my phone (I had already ordered one phone) Motorola said they had already billed my account for it but when I went to my account the pending amount was now gone and my balance in my account is what it should be with no purchases. they way it looks if everything works out and I end up with two phones is I got a phone for free. I ordered the 2nd phone and it says it should deliver 9/2 which is 3 days sooner than the last email I got for mine which was 9/5. so come 9/5 if I don't have both phones I will have to start this process all over again. if I get both and they can both be activated then I came out ahead with a free phone and 50 play gift card. will let yall know how it all turns out in another week or so. til then all of you that get your phones let me know how you like them. despite all the headache I really still can't wait to get my hands on this phone.
 
went ahead and got one today, blk off shelf from att. its snappy and I like it so far, my only grip with the N4 was the size, I would keep switching back to my IP5 just for that reason, love the google eco system but not the phone size, the m x is perfect size with the same screen size to boot.

love the active notifications and only change so far zagg front / back, HD widgets and nova
 
Well if you guys are having this kind of drama ordering with AT&T, I almost can't wait to see what disasters await us Verizon folk! Good Grief!

If they don't have it running smoothly come November then they have some serious problems.
 
Well, hopefully you really did get a free phone! I'd think it was worth it for you for a free Moto X.
 
Currently being told my phone is delayed and probably won't be here till the end of this week. That's 10 business days folks. A far cry from the 4 they've been touting. This was from the LIMITED AT&T PRE-ORDER too. Very few folks got in on this and they still couldn't get the phone out in 4 days. Heck, couldn't even get it out in the "up to 7 business days" in the original order confirmation.

Same thing here they're telling me it won't ship until the 28th at the earliest. I have a Verizon account as well I'm thinking of just getting the Maxx and sending the X back when I get it and maybe put a iPhone on that line. I get they are having issues, but they could at least keep us updated on delays.
 
What ticks me off, is I would have been just as happy with a solid black but I thought I could get my custom version in by the launch date (as advertised with 4 day shipping) but nope, now I'm stuck waiting on a phone that I've already been charged for.

Exactly they charged me for the thing minutes after I placed the order and I paid full retail, and I can't even get a courtesy email update about the delay. The thing that's swaying me to the Maxx is reading all the real world reports of the battery life while I'm waiting. I think the X looks better and the customization is cool, but the longer I wait the more the Maxx is becoming an option.
 
Today was supposed to be my delivery date, not even a shipping email yet. Sigh.

Well, just called to check. I should HOPEFULLY have my phone in hand on the 29th. They said it would be overnighted on the 28th to me. My issue is I will be leaving for all weekend on Thursday, so I'm really starting to get nervous about it sitting out if I miss the shipment.
 
What would of been so hard about having some of this stuff pre assembled? Have x amount of the 32 and 16 with both white and black fronts then all you had to do was throw on the backs and acent colors and out the door it would go. Wonder what the hell went wrong. Very disappointed in this entire thing.

Pretty sure it's the fact they have to GLUE things together.
 
how did yall find out things were further behind than thought? yall call? cause lord after all the mess i have been through with calling over the card activation the last thing on earth i want to do is call. there is no telling what the heck they would tell me and i might just loose it. not that it is near time to call since i was only able to finally order yesterday. they said 9/3 and 9/5 so i will give it some time. was really hoping that was an exageration on their part and i would get an email this week telling me it shipped.
 
I called, yep. They were super chill with me and the rep was very apologetic when I started asking tough questions.
 
They couldn't tell me anything other than we are sorry and we know you are really excited about receiving your phone :p psh.
 
i really think that is the only english they knew. lol i feel bad for the next round of people that buy these on line. if they are having this may problems now i can only imagine what it will be like when verizon hits the market with the motomaker. gonna start a whole new mess.
