Yeah....you should have noticed that you can turn on window animations from there as well...

One thing I wasn't able to find was the haptic feedback option...

And yeah...GMail does looks a lot cleaner than before....everything does to be honest...
 
So I updated to the JF ADP 1.5 build, and I LOVE it. (I don't even care that tmo usa wants to roll out the update next week)

However, I can't get the music app to play through my bluetooth headset. I know a lot of people on this forum have updated to the JF build, has anyone had the same problem, or gotten it to work?

Yeah I saw the Barcelona-Chelsea Game....was surprised to see Barcelona snatch it at the end....
 
Cupcake showed up on mine yesterday when I went through the process. It was surprisingly easy and I'm quite suprise about the difference it make to my phone.

It just seems so much quicker.
I'm happy.

I'll be keeping root until Google announces a solution for Apps to SD.
 
Write me down as another impatient dude that wanted cupcake... and root of course.

Rooted my phone and installed cupcake with no problem.
 
got to work this morning and got message there was an update, so cupcake downloaded and installed

resets the time and date to 26/1/09 @ 10:59 and it now 9am

this is on un-rooted UK G1
 
does the 1.5 upgrade support sending files thru bluetooth?
I still miss this option in bluetooth. The most basic mobile phone can do this. is this implemented? or I just missed it?
 
Hiya,

I just got my cupcake this morning, and other than having to uninstall my toggle settings app, and install the version for cupcake everything seems to be working ok.

Steel is doing odd things... what's with the black screen? But the fact there's a video recorder! :) YAY! now my phone does everything!

Has anyone noticed that the orientation only has 2 positions?

Not that it's a particularly big deal seeing as you can only really feasibly use the phone in those 2 positions in which it works...
 
I was hoping that the "enhanced bluetooth experience" would include voice dialing through heandsfree, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Am I missing something?
 
For all u lucky cupcake eaters in the UK, can anyone either post a vid or tell me about the quality of the video recorder? Is it decent or kinda choppy?

Have a US G1 and have previously rooted it using the JF rom. Went back to the TMO version but wanted 1.5. Had a suspicion that it would be "easier" to get the OTA update if the phone was running the UK firmware (i live in Sweden), i decided to downgrade, install hard-spl and begin the upgrade using the RC7->8 route. After the last reflash, the phone prompted me that a download was available OTA and after a while, i had the 1.5 build (european version).

To bad that it does not seem to have the IM application anymore (can that be downloaded separately btw?).

For the first time since I got my G1 I've not cursed the battery life.

it's been on for 14hrs straight. I've used it just the same as normal & I've got 75% battery... Normally it'd have shut itself down about 4hrs ago.

Lots of other bits, but battery life was getting me close to using my old HTC PDA full time.
 
Another little thing I noticed in the 1.5 update....

When your phone keylocks...instead of being just a black screen telling you you need to unlock...you can see your background...
