Root The road to Android ICS 4.0 on the Triumph

I seriously wake up every morning to check up on the progress you've made. I'm so psyched and impatient, man. Since I saw the first ICS demo, I got so eager to try it out...

Isaac, just wanted to let you know I'll definitely support you with a donation once you release the first build. I didn't expect this to shape up so fast, you deserve donations for your time and effort!

I second the motion. Issac has brought so much to the Triumph community. (along with Tickerguy, who has moved on :( ) Thank you Issac, for continuing to not only support the Triumph (since Moto and VM haven't done a damn thing.), but for making it better. :)

I wake up to see what he's posted too. I'm not impatient but I really enjoying reading and learning about ICS. It gives me something to do at work when I'm bored. LOL

I think he deserves a donation with or without a build being released. His time and effort are worth more than any amount of money we would send. He gives a lot into this community. I know I would not have this phone if he hadn't put his magic into it. =]

Wow. That's freaking hilarious... LOL

Oh, Huawei. You'll always be my arch-nemesis (those who followed my Ascend development will know what I'm talking about). In any case, thanks for the links. I'll definitely tear apart that ICS OTA update and see what goodies I can find.

Concerning the 3.0 kernel. For now, I'll only be using our original 2.6.32 kernel. It works, but I'll keep the link handy should I need anything.

No problem. It's the least I could do to help in your awesome efforts. :-)

Agreed, anyone who has used CWM, Miui or even Tickerguys CM7 should at least give a 5$ donation to show their support. I

I found this update for the adreno 205 drivers... would it help us? and can we make it work on our devices easily?

Im gonna make a zip and flash them to see if they work on my phone :)

EDIT: Hmm it seems the phone would not boot. It went to the bootlogo, then a black screen. These drivers may not work on our device for some reason. Looking more into it!

I used root explorer and replaced the egl folder on my phone and it worked.... I restarted and it booted fine. Although I don't seem to notice any difference...

Sorry for the noob question but after replacing the egl folder in system/lib does anything need to be done with the hw folder? also should I replace libegl.so in the lib folder?

To be a bit more clear,

After replacing the EGL folder should I also add the lib files from the hw.zip from the XDA link provided by Alpha06 As I noticed one or two of them with the same names are already located in the lib folder. Am also curious about the libEGL.so file from the xda thread as a file with the same name can also be found in the lib folder.

Sorry, probably best to just wait until one of you geniuses put together a zip I can flash but I’m trying to learn and understand as much as I can.

You need a more scientific measurement of it (like antutu benchmark or some other 3d benchmark software). Most people don't notice fps difference between say 40 and 50 fps.

I used nenamark 1 and 2 and on 1 i got 27fps and on 2 I got 11... Those are what people say are the result before switching... But I will try antutu I don't think there will be a difference though...

I would be interested in helping to finishing this rom. There's one problem though I don't know how to exactly. I do have a Triumph and love your cm7 rom. We're very grateful to have a developer like you. I can use my dads professional design software(Adobe CS4) that he has on his mac if that is possible. If you could give me a link or something to show me everything i need to help finish this rom and how to!

Got the chance to try a buggy pre alpha of ics on the nook last night. It's amazing. Now I'm really itching to see it on the phone. Since I haven't yet learned enough to contribute... donation coming soon. If I can do any testing/debugging to help out I'd be happy to. Thanks for your work Isaac.
