Root The road to Android ICS 4.0 on the Triumph

The touch buttons are ugly imo, it'd be fine if they looked decent but they take up screen space and they look all squished... Can't wait for ICS on triumph though, good stuff.

I agree but at the same time we must be thankful we have such dedicated and good developers for this phone. As far as I know most high end smartphones on prepaid carriers like the lg estem or zte warp dont even have a functional CM7 port yet let alone a MIUI of ICS port.

They have a flashable zip over on the Ideos x6 forum and it installs and works (taking away the on screen buttons) when you mount /system first, but it makes bugs of its own like the home key doesn't work properly...

Edit: actually the home key didn't work properly before flashing that anyways...

You know with Google adding all of this to ICS, there next major update is going to be crazy... Jellybean (or whatever its gonna be called) probably will just be like froyo to gingerbread, just a minor update... Although I guess technically its not that big of an update from honeycomb...

I wonder what would come after z...its a crazy mystery

Just wondering, is this ROM still being worked on? Seeing as isaac is gone, who is spearheading the development? Believe me I'm not complaing, I appreciate everyones efforts, just curious if its still being worked on. Perhaps someone could post a "as of now" thread showing what progress has been made and where things are at?

There are a lot of people attempting to get things working. :D It is a slow and arduous process. :( If you want to keep up, they are discussion it here: http://androidforums.com/triumph-all-things-root/462943-discussion-developers-_only_-building-ics-source-isaacs-github.html. I would say, please do not clutter that thread with posts not related to developing ICS for the Triumph. When there is something releasable, I am sure it will get released. :) Before that, we can all follow the thread to see what is going on. :D
