It always frustrates me to hear how bad we get ripped off here in the states compared to most of the rest of the world. :banghead:
 
Yeah, I have 3 smartphones on my account. 700 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited data on two lines & 4gb on the third. And after my employee discount I still play about 220. :banghead:
 
Normally it's not as cheap as that... It's only cos it's a sim only deal... I bought myself Nexus 4 fit my birthday, so only needed a SIM. Did that, as it worked out cheaper than getting one on a contract :rolleyes::confused:
 
Everyone must be busy today! I'm off to church... Tomorrow my kids go to their dad's but I have to work :-( hopefully i will at least be able to go out to dinner. What's everyone's plans for the weekend?
 
Rebuilding an email server and testing an administration package for evaluation and implementation. Loads of fun.
 
good late evening/early night some - good morning others. Working - again. darn file that would never end. good news is boss says there's steady work for next week, as well :D Just thankful that I have work. my boyfriend has been steadily seeking work for almost 7 months now! he's starting to feel defeated because unemployment is running out soon.
 
Wow, 7 months does not sound like fun. :(
My dad was unemployed for over a year. Being the breadwinner of the family, it was quite a struggle. Guess the only thing "good" about it was I managed to get a Pell grant for college. 1 and only semester I went to Chapel Hill was virtually free. :)
 
Yeah, he's taking online classes in order to keep productive but he pays child support and he's so afraid of not finding a job before unemployment runs out
 
Shellie, I got "downsized" right after 9/11 (and then a month later my mother passed away ... triple whammy) and was unemployed for several years doing side work just to keep the bills paid. I got close to decent jobs a couple of times but was always #2 (most of the times i felt like #2, too). Tell him to keep plugging away. When the right job comes along, it will be worth it. :D
 
Hey guys, I need ideas. We have a rare and unexpected chance to go out tonight but (as stated above) have little expendable income. I need cheap date night ideas :-)

We always grab a bottle of wine and rent a movie, but something semi-sappy. No man-bashing chick flicks and no shoot-em-up action adventures. We've got some local spots where we can get dinner and drinks for $40.00 for the both of us. All the dance clubs around here are either senior center polka nights or 20 yr-old mosh pits, so those are out.
