The Tablet Tavern

Think a lot of the times it's cosmetic eye surgery. Maybe because they want appear more Western, especially in Korea or China. I blame the fashion industry myself, because often they'll use Western looking models, rather than Asian to show the clothes, especially on sites like taobao.com, in department stores and in glossy glamour magazines.

Why can't people settle on one avatar and stick with it? When I'm scanning through forums it's often the avatars I recognise, rather than reading usernames. I tend to think your avatar is your trademark, it's what people might recognise.

Mine might change, but I've decided to sticky with the Chinchilla theme. It's pretty rad if I say so myself. :D

Also what's with this abbreviating avatar to "avi" about? I think avatar is a great word, especially when I look out of the bedroom window and see "INTERNET AVATAR CLUB" flashing in bright red LED letters across the street.

I stick with Tinkerbell - she changes clothes once in a while but its always the same fairy.

Plastic surgery is not the answer unless your burned or seriously disconfigured from an accident. Your eyes are perfect the way they are if you want to change something then how about the perspective you have of your eyes :)

People are beautiful they way they are no need to change for vanity sake

I like my hacker smiley.. :D

well, i'm near sighted :P but it's not really a problem. i just think i might look nicer with bigger eyes. lots of girls in korea are getting theirs done. actually, korean girls are pretty heavy with the cosmetic surgery.

I don't think I would change my eyes if they were small. How your eyes look is part of what makes you look like "you". Sorta like seeing someone that normally wears glasses when they aren't wearing them, they just don't look quite right.

Surgery to correct a vision problem is a good thing though, when the risks aren't real bad anyways..

But the "me" I am now isn't very attractive. I'm just increasing my chances of ending up with someone :p

Most women I know are far more critical about their own looks than anyone else.

Didn't you have your avatar as your picture for a little bit?

It's getting harder to believe with each year that I end up alone

I'm 31. Decent height, great shape, I've been told I'm not too bad to look at. Sadly being hard working, not jealous, smart, and funny isn't what women want. I've decided to put my extra cash in cars, horses, and maxing out retirement accounts.

it's ironic because the last serious boyfriend i had accused me of not being jealous either. i just don't like playing games, but it seems that it's all people my age are interested in :(

True being single can be difficult at times. I am still single too. I focused on what I do for a living as I enjoyed it a lot. Being laid up on disability has me out of sorts. I guess that is why I have been playing tech support in the Galaxy S 2 forums for the Boost people.

Plus with all the unspoken restrictions from my parents, it's just hard. I don't like the local Chinese boys because most tend to be wimps in some way or another. I don't want to live with my in-laws :(
