I lived in Sonoma County for a few months several years back. Gorgeous area. Weather. does. not. change.!
I was there in the winter and every day was about high in the upper 50s, lows around 45. Wild stuff having grown up in Mass.
I imagine south of the bay area where Mountain View is isn't too much different.

I only have one Windows 7 computer, worked out well, but the hardware was a bit slow for the things I wanted to do.

It sounds like he is being a bit of a butt munch.
Why not? We traveled all the time with our son from 6 months on. By the time he was 15 he was going to Europe on his own (okay, school trip, but without mom and dad.) He loves to travel now as much as we do and he's good company. We now have to get his fiancee on a plane bound for anywhere she hasn't been yet and get the travel bug in her, too.
Tell him to STFU and man up a little.
That's what my dad told him over the phone. He even made my dad cry
Okay, so we've established that he's an *******. Try telling him that if he's travelling with a baby in his arms, it attracts a lot of really hot women.
(And it does, too. I've got a story about this Swedish girl on a cruise who would babysit for the Mrs. and me.
