Nothing in the Black Friday deal looks enticing outside of the Nikon D5100. But, I really don't need another camera.

I avoid all the thanksgiving weekend sales and black Friday. Working in package pickup and receiving at Sears for two years, cured me of ever wanting to be near any retail stores on those days..

I know, it is an American thing. Minus the insane sales rush that is unfortunately associated with it, the gathering of family and friends over a big meal is quite nice.

This will never happen, but I would love to see the stores open their doors for the sales and nobody is waiting to go in, because they all decided to spend the weekend home with family instead.

What's small in your eyes, will prob be big in our eyes. Our living room is 11.5 x 21.7 feet
(350 x 660 centimeter)


I'm celebrating the weekend already. I put in some overtime hours to get the afternoon off. So the weekend starts early.
1 overtime hour is 90 minutes free time. I made 7 overtime hours this week, so plenty hours to take.

It isn't celebrated in the States anymore, either. It's experienced. Between the horrendous travel, the family drama and the avalanche of Christmas shopping, it's more a rite of passage than a holiday.

I did black Friday sales twice. Once when money was beyond tight and I could get all my daughter's gifts for much cheaper and once when my mom wanted to go. I have NO desire to do them again.
