Planning a fancy dinner for the lady and me. 
Creamy white onion soup (like French onion, but no carmalization. Recipe looks good)
-with a saison. Not sure which one, need to hit up the liquor store.
Duck (first time cooking!), spicy pomegranate sauce, green beans, polenta
-with Penfolds syrah blend (always a solid winery at a great price)
Crepes, several, layered with fig jam, chocolate ganache and pistachios. Vanilla Ice-cream
-not sure if I'll have a pairing for this one, still mulling it. Love port, though.

For a birthday I went on a helicopter ride at a small airshow. It was one of those old ones like you see on the TV show MASH. It was cool and interesting experience.
Dad was an attack helicopter pilot. I've been on some interesting flights. If I had to I could land one right side up.
I had an idea if I hit that 500 million powerball I would open an attack helicopter school. Buy some old Cobras from a country we sold them to and the ultra rich get to have mock dog fights with each other.

I did that once at a county fair. $30 got me up, a lap around the fairgrounds and then landing. I think the whole ride was less than 5 minutes, but it was worth it.

I did some acrobatics in a airplane. Just 2 pre flight lessons years apart was enough expierence that the instructor let me steer the plane in a corkscrew, a looping, and flying across the airport upside down.
20 minutes flying time $ 200. Smiling all day : priceless :trytofly:

Glad I was able to side load the 4.3 camera app. I love LG's but their version of photosphere is terrible. Only reason to use the AOSP one.

Got my nephew's wedding to go to today. "Uncle of the groom" has some serious responsibilities .... get drunk, fall into something and provide stories for their grandchildren to tell for decades.
I think I'm up to the task.
