A credit union usually will have better rates for savings

I don't know if it's the same here. The bank our company is using for our atm debit cards charges fees everytime you withdraw (for savings account with atm). It's not small either. I'm kind of pissed.

I have never changed banks since the '80s but because of mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, etc. they have changed the banks on me 7 times. Currently the accounts are held at Wells Fargo. I am underwhelmed with their customer service.

They bought out my mortgage a few years ago. Their collections autodialer would call me and then put a person on the line who would look and see my payment was paid on time by a week and could never figure out why their collections system called me.

Wife was with Wachovia before it was bought by Wells Fargo. I just laugh since she tries to find an appropriate ATM whereas I never had to worry about it (bank covers any transaction fees for 3 withdrawals a month).

Yeah, us too. First Union before that and CoreStates and ... If I keep going back far enough, I'll probably get to Ben Franklin's bank. ;) I am not a big ATM user, so it doesn't really affect me all that much.

Yep, always make an effort to get a withdrawal from a debit payment instead of the ATM if I need cash (which isn't often, hate carrying it).
