The Tablet Tavern

Looks up from my phone, peeks around the side of my monitor, sees people. Curls up in the fetal position and rocks back and forth until the images in my mind is replaced by Flappy Bird flashbacks. All's well again, all's well again, all's well again.

Just off the top of my head, it makes me think that social interaction is on the decline in the real world. It seems odd to see a group of people sitting around a table all with their heads down and their thumbs rapidly tapping away. Even if they are sending stuff to the guy across the table. :dontknow:

The one texting to the person across the table is generally talking about the person holding the meeting they are in... :vroam:

I read on gizmodo that the GS5 would have some water resistance earlier and haven't heard anything since.

Also quick update. Heard from HR. They were shocked by how I was treated. She said she was gathering statements and I would hear back tomorrow.

Tell us what you find out. It was a really crappy way you were treated.

I don't know. I'm racking my brain trying to find it.

Oddly I did get a phone at 6:30 local time from a guy demanding to know why I didn't call him Friday night so he could one up my previous job and could have started today.

That sounds like a good thing.. :)

Its a wooddorking joke.

That is a homemade router table. Most store bought router tables are too light and flimsy unless you spend more than the router for heavy cast iron. So most wooddorkers make their own. I used MDF (otherwise known as termite barf) because it is heavy and won't warp and and is very flat and true.

Well I don't need it, but you can compress it to make wood pellets for a wood pellet stove, and sawdust is used on the the floor of a butcher shop in New York to prevent slipping and also aid in cleanup of drippings.

Oh, well, that sounds useful. But you could also buy it... :P

It's actually fracing but we refer to those that don't know as anti-frackers to show their ignorance to what we do. But no amount of evidence will show them different. Except a propaganda film funded by the Venezuelan Oil and Gas Commission.

It's just another thing people can fight and landowners say, "Your wells are making me sick and giving me health problems!" Then you ask how long they've been smoking and they tell us they don't have to answer that.

Yeah, ignorance. Tell that to the people who can set their tap water on fire. Save it for the politics section.

Good morning. I'm brewing the coffee.
