Root [Theme] Black, White, Chrome for Leaked Gingerbread 2.3.3

Ok so 1st post on these forums....there are so many Android/DX forums that it is hard to tell which is best...

So here is my quick story...

I was running 2.3.32....SBF to 2.3.34....Upgraded using Maderstock...that worked sorta, until I got to 2.3.3 (gingerbread). Then I SBF'd to 2.3.3...awesome, completely worked...added deodexing with the file on the other sites...completely worked.

This is the first theme I that I have ever used with any ROM or stock ROM. I installed the BWC with no issues using D2 Bootstrap and no wiping of data/cache, since I figured that wasn't needed. I love the theme, using the custom LauncherPro too.

PROBLEM: When I turn off the phone, then turn it back on, I get the ClockworkMod recovery screen. Is this normal? When I hit reboot system now, the phone launches regularly and I am off to smooth sailing. But is there any way to get rid of the ClockworkMod screen?

A big thanks to the OP for this theme!

Yes it's normal, it's a built-in security feature in clockwork, in case you messed something up very badly and you have to flash a backup or format your system to fix something, etc.

Don't worry about it, just reboot if it pops up and you will boot right into the OS and be fine ;)

If it's stock with bloatware removed and some tweaks, then I don't see why not. I'm going to try RubiX out later tonight since Steven and yawdapaah keep talking it up so much :D

Be interesting to see how that works, would u install rubix then BWC over that?

Do you know if rubix and blurrybread do about the same things? or the differences between the 2 and what you will run on yours?

Yes to your first question.

And I'm pretty sure RubiX Blurry Bread are the same thing (RubiX is the name of the ROM, Blurry signifies it has blur left in it, and Bread means it's for Gingerbread), unless Drod released another ROM with Blur removed and called it simply "RubiX"

It's intentional - you want it that way. It's so if you mess something up you can fix it.

Reason: Last night I was mucking around with the system/app and renamed SOMETHING I shouldn't have (I think it was the 3 Setup.apks). After reboot, I had no home screen.

Yes, no home screen.

I had to SBF, root, flash rooted GB, flash blurrybread, restore data.

If I could have gotten into CW, I could have just reflashed blurrybread and been done.

I can see how that is useful now. It only comes up after an overnight charge when I turn my phone off and let it charge. Otherwise if I turn it off and on again, the boot screen doesn't show.

How then would you remove the theme if a new one comes out or you want another rom?

Market FC after installing black market. Any suggestions or link to market .apk?

That's why I didn't include it for this theme. You can try flashing back the stock market or move it into /system/app with root explorer and set permissions.

If that fails, then restore your backup.

I suspect the black market was still in my add ons folder from my last version of BWC. Flashed backup and all is well.

I'm working on blacking out the Settings menu and it's submenus; "Accounts" is the last submenu to go, it's being a pain.

I'm also working to blackout the dialer, we'll see how it goes.

Hey guys I love this theme but when I try to flash it keeps saying installation aborted. And I am on the deodexed version of GB so don't know what i'm doing wrong.

Nvmind downloaded file again and worked like a charm.

Now im getting mad FC's on voice commands . Cant get it to stop popping up on screen so cant even activate bootstrapper app to re apply deodex and theme.

Just pull the battery and start up your phone again; you might have to do it a couple of times, but eventually you will be in clockwork recovery.

Is this going to be updated when and if the new OTA (leak) and actual pushed OTA is released and rooted?

Cuz that would be awesome!

Yeah it is :D

I'm going to make a lot of changes too, like inverting the settings menu and dialer, also I've inverted the market, v2.3.6, so I will add that too.

Its normal ...its a safety net in case something goes wrong in some situations ....don't worry about it

installed the theme and liking it but was wondering how to get the lockscreen that you show in your photos!?!

I have also noticed I have a swipe error on boot up. could that be why my lockscreen looks wack?

I am on the droid 2 and I know this theme was made for the droid x but should still be compatible
