Root [Theme] NexTheme for Droid X Froyo 2.2 (8/26/2010)

I am wondering this too. I just installed Apex but I'm really not in the mood to have to sbf tonight. Once a day is my limit.
 
Just letting people know that this seems to install just fine over the new Tranquility 3.0 rom.
I did it last night (as I didn't like the theme the rom came with) and it worked without a hitch.

So far, everything seems to be running great and my X is a bit more snappy now.

(NOTE: Problems may still pop up as I only have been using this combo for a day, but so far so good)

Yes, I've seen this http://androidforums.com/droid-x-all-things-root/207986-theme-nex-theme-flavor-blue.html but I like the green highlights and other colors with NexTheme, and the blue flavored version is, well, blue.

Just select your color and w/wo text
Then install with metamorph

Yep, thats it.
I was on XDA on the main post (found here) but kept getting SHTF error's when using the UOT Kitchen tool to compile my own (UOT Kitchen found here... AWESOME SITE).

But using your link I only had to use metamorph to extract then apply.
Quick and easy.

I will mess around with compiling a new one later once I get past the SHTF error.

Don't ask me why I did it, but I uninstalled Facebook off my NexTheme-skinned X. I've tried reinstalling it from the Market, but it is unsuccessful every time. Any ideas on how to get it back?

reboot and retry. it worked for me.

or try resetting the cache in titanium backup

That's Beautiful Widgets. Available on the Market (not free). Fancy Widgets is free, but not nearly as customizable. BW has dozens and dozens of clock and weather skins to choose from.
 
Love the theme, but dislike the fonts. Whenever I try to install the stock froyo fonts zip through clockworkmod it just says"installing update" and never does everything. I have to pull out the battery. Am I doing something wrong? (I do wipe the cache before installing)

I've used the "TypeFresh" app to change fonts and it worked well. That may be easier.
 
Anyone know if this theme will still work on the latest droid x update?
I tried and got stuck on the M logo so had to sbf.

Maybe it's because I did not RE-DeOdex after the system 340 sbf?

Yup, need to be deodexed to install any theme except the 928Droid theme.

Deodexing the easy way, with 928Droid theme doesn't work either.

TBH has a deodexed 2.3.320 update.zip for download on their app ($2).

I think you have to assume most themes for 2.2 won't work after 320 or 340 update.
 
Yep, got it to work.
I did a deodexed 2.3.320 full sbf then ran the 2.3.340 system only sbf and forgot to RE-deodex after that (that was my problem).

I just did a manual deodex of the .340 then applied this theme and it seems to be working fine.
I also tried the nextheme listed on rommanager downloads and that one seems to work too.

I am tempted to try a few others and see what happens.

I've not really been able to find an answer to this, is there a way to get JUST the flashlight and ringer widgets from Nextheme into apex 1.30?
 
Where are the files to go back to stock for 2.2? The files for 2.1 are on the first page, but Fab never release the ones for froyo...
