Root [Theme] Quicksilver - Operators are standing by!

I must have missed this, but where can I find this ROM or do I need backside and then this theme/how would I do that?

Yeah, your gonna need BACKside for this theme, brotherswing developed this awesome theme just for BACKside. I'm pretty sure the BACKside rom only works on the lg optimus v, if you have a optimus v, then just click on brotherswings link in his quote "come to the BACKside" click on BACKside. as for installing there's a slightly long process involved. go here Androidforums.com/optimus-v-all-things-root/387414-how-simplified-root-recovery-custom-rom.html for instructions on how to root your optimus, install a recovery and the rom of your choice. if you have a optimus that is. gingerbreak is the easiest way to root. just for a reference. and as stated flashing a recovery, rom on your phone may semi-brick it. and if you don't have an optimus v? well, your outta luck, sorry.

You need a recovery just make sure it's one compatible with your screen.
 
I'm working on it! Ran a test build last night, but hit a parsing error trying to install the apk. I'm testing with INVI, one of my older themes. I have to test with something other than quicksilver, because I wouldn't be able to see the difference. Quicksilver always gets flashed on my phone within ten minutes of updates from Jerry. I just hate green. Had enough of that in the Army!
 
haha, didnt know you were in the army. thanks for your service! :) and I got a question for ya, what's the cpu tuner/manager you use? I use cpu tuner, its alright but I'm getting bored of seein the same ol thing in my status bar. :P

Yes, I served, but only half my contract. My right foot now has government installed titanium in it, and I got a medical discharge. It hurts like hell when it gets cold out, and I live in Michigan. Great fun! :D
 
instantly uninstalled, I was wondering about the performance section in cyan settings. but the dragons ahead warning kept me from experimenting haha, well. now I know. thanks guys :) yeah, gotta love good ol michigan, 10 degrees one day and 45 the next.
 
The new Quicksilver theme now works on my OV! Thanks for great work.
Flashing it was a bit worrisome, as it appeared to have hung again; but it finally woke up and worked fine.
 
Hey mine keeps freezing up at the boot animation. Backside works great, but the quicksilverICSremix theme freezes up at the boot animation. How do I fix??

What's the build number of your Rom? That usually happens when you flash the wrong theme version for your rom. If the build numbers don't match, check the "other" link in my sig. I archive everything, and you can find older versions there.
 
UMMM... huh?? lol I found my build number: GWK74, but I don't know how to look for your older builds? lol Sorry, sorta new to this still. lol
 
I mean, 0125 or 0120 etc. It's part of the file name of the zip you flashed. When you reach my mediafire page, go to the folder named themes. There are sub folders by build date. You can always find older versions of my themes there.
 
Also, when you look under about phone, look at the build ID. There's a date stamp right after Jerryscript's name, the last four digits before the dot. That is the build date of your current rom.
 
Okay, it is 0125, and the regular quicksilver theme works, but the quicksilverICStheme doesn't? Is it built for a different build number?
 
ICS remix was several months old. The only difference is the font, the first version of Quicksilver had a much smaller font. The ics version was the second build, using the Roboto font was made by request. I liked the new font so much I made it part of quicksilver. Therefore all versions of quicksilver are since the second build are the ICS versions.
 
Oh, okay well sweet! :) So, now I guess I am just messing with settings until I like it more. The status bar seems to be odd like when I go to facebook it turns white. How do I make this stop?
 
I've been working on that. That happens to every theme that uses a transparent status bar. I've been considering making it a soft grey instead, but as this theme is a work in progress, it will continue to evolve. Stay tuned, there will be a new build up sometime today.
