Root [THEME] Simple Blue 4.2, Simple Green 4.2 (10/26/11)

The only thing that installs with the main theme is boot animation and fonts. Swype has to be installed with Metamorph and contacts, keyboard, camera have to be manually placed in system/app

EDIT: Theme looks even better on the phone... I might just install the skype just to see if i like it..
 
OK I a slight problem/question.. the problem is i tried to copy the add-ons to my system/app and now i have no camera no keyboard and no contact list and when i try to access these areas thru the usual way.. hit phone then dial it says app not installed and does the same for my contacts.. and camera button is function less now i thought it copied the files but they dont show in my system app folder not even the old ones just the ones i added to my sd card so i have no idea for sure and i am using file expert by the way ..also i tried to do a Tback up but nothing happened...also i am running the Shabby Mod 09. i was trying go to the 2.0 theme..but after i lost those needed functions i didn't proceed with the theme changeover..i'm still running the last one... yeah i am "noob" so bare with me ..maybe i had another brain fart or something..i dunno..but up to this point all was well in the land of Root...had gotten pretty sure of myself after the initial rooting and theme mod..oh well now i have a semi functioning brick.... so what in the heck did I do and how do i undo it..will adding the theme fix the problem or maybe do i need to reflash with the shabby mod heck i dont know just thinking out loud but now i am a lil"rootshy" so dont really want to go further till i fix what wrong and know what i did wrong so i wont make the same mistake again hopefully..

Im not sure if you can just drop them into the folder? what i did was drop them into the rom folder in shabby mod and flash it with the whole rom...
 
so basically just open up my 09 rom saved on my comp and copy the 2.0 theme and add ons completely into it and then reflash my device or just the add ons...and if thats correct do i need to wipe it before i reflash or after... and if i do that then i wont need to use the theme updater program at all correct?...by way thanks your a life saver

Ok... you are starting to ask questions that are above my paygrade... :D ...

1. you should be able to drop just those three into the rom folder and just flash those separatley (no other files in rom folder) I am not sure if you will need a wipe.. I would doubt it..

2. You still need to use the theme updater because it installs a new framework-res.apk
 
Man well you need that raise! Who do i need to inform!..but i got you on just dropping those apks in the rom on my comp then just rerunning it.. thanks :).... that is what you mean by just flashing those files again..reason i ask is just making sure i use the correct program...by the way does that includes adding the black contact folder or just the apk inside of it ...

If you dont want to reset your whole phone.. I would remove all files from the app folder... and place the contacts.apk and others in that folder...

You choose which contacts.apk Depending on if you want a transparent or black contacts and dialer... Dont use both

Run Shabby

Run Theme Flasher

Easier way that i have not tested would be to make a app folder in the theme flasher and place the .apks there (somebody verify)

Copying them to system/app with root explorer and overwriting the old ones works, I haven't tried it with any other file manager tho.

Clearing dalvik cache and rebooting should fix any other problem with the apps.

That wont work unless you edit the bat file

You can install everything with shabbymod if you copy the rom folder from the theme flasher to shabbymod's and overwrite anything it asks you to
 
WELLL now my problem is a lil larger after i added the files to the load folder i think i screwed up i did remove the items in the folder and added the aforementioned apks..and reran the shabby 09 now its in continuous loop on the shabbymod screen....now i have a brick that lights ..lol. any ideas. since i am very new to this droid rooting all ideas are more than welcome.

2 options, depending on how bricked it really is.

First get the shabbymod set up exactly as you want it, replacing apps in the /system folder, getting the theme in the correct place yadayada. Then reflashing as soon as you get the samsung logo on the phone screen, or if that fails to work use odin and recover to stock and start again.

Everything installed correctly . The only problem I'm having is when I go in to Titanium Backup Pro/menu/more , all the writing is black just like the background . I was gonna clean up my Dalvik cache and had to hunt for it because I couldn't see it . :eek:



EDIT: It's in the new theme Blood . I restored it back to the original Simplegreen then tried again and the problem started right after I installed the new theme using MetaMorph .
 
:) Whew.... ok this is what i did i just reflashed shabby from the Samsung logo..i didnt change any files i figured thats how i messed up the last time..so now phones back up and performing i did recovery from Titanium didnt know if i needed it but figured it wouldnt hurt...now i will go and upgrade my theme hopefully lol..really got rave reviews on the green..now my questions are these on my theme upgrader it still shows the light green folder however i am thinking is best to just do that part all over the apk for the swipe is whats running(black/green keyboard) but the theme is not present ...now the only other problem i have is my market application wont open it says process com.android vending has stopped then it asks me for a forced close. how do i get round that..i was thinking i need to get the root explorer for future use..any ideas..and thats a lot i had already called my buddy at best buy..lol...i can keep that and just do a donation...so ty for all the help you "Rooters" have been great! Much thanks again!

Yea I noticed the same thing. Cleaning the cache is the third option from the top when you pull up the more menue.. not a big deal.. i would rather have the black menus

also the gmail app is having a problem with the header being black... half the header is grey.. half the header is black

I just restored back to SimpleGreen + add-ons til it's fixed . :D

-Fixed the text color for pop up menu
-Fixed the tittle bar color
-Fixed a problem with the black contacts.apk call button

If you guys find anything else wrong let me know
 
Yo Blood I'm feeling the new look. Think I'm going green. I can't get swype keyboard to install phone shuts puff any help
