Root [THEME] Simple Blue 4.2, Simple Green 4.2 (10/26/11)

Blood just got to say I am an admirer of your work, I dont run your theme, but your research and work make things so much better for the phone and I do run your boot animi, or did right now I changed to a droid/apple one I found funny.
I know your work and research have made the theme I like possible as well So just a big

Awesome!! Simply amazing!
The new status bar and system icons work very well together (I had my eye on that very battery meter). I think the PowerControll widgets look better without the colored indicators and the reworked notification drop down is very cool, gotta get used to the Clear tab on the bottom tho. :) All themed apk's look great and I Love the new lock screen look!

Guess I've got a new theme to base my personal theme on. :D

Need your help Blood, I started with Shabbymod this morning and tried to first just remove CIQ. Bootlooped, unfortunately I had also been messing around with partitioning to no avail so I had lost my backup AND my phone is my internet so it took me all day to get the odin files and fix it.

Next I tried installing Simply Blue with the CIQ removed straight from the Odin EE14 rooted with Hroark's Kernel. Now instead of bootlooping I load in to my lock screen like it is going to work, sit through the vibrations and once they are done I unlock my phone and close all the popups from FC. Then I get a constant FC loop with android.loader and can't use my phone.

Any advice?

*EDIT* Flashed 3.1, and then 4.0 and no issues. Are the reboot options/Cyanogenmod widgets only in green though? I also don't get a boot ani, just the default.

flashing 3.1 first then 4.0 should fix it

blue is the exact same theme as green, only difference is the color.

your on shabbymod 0.9 right? thats the only one boot animations work with. if thats the only problem you could pull the bootanimation.zip out of the media folder in the theme and push it to /system/media on your phone

so what happens when we start up and even after flashing the base version then the new versions we either get boot loop with FC vibrations or the ring tones dont work and we cant get into the volume??

I have replaced the phone,downloaded all the mods on a reformatted machine and even at a different house on a different machine. I even got a new sd card!

Im not the only one with these problems and i have posted a logcat before and as soon as i can get it to even boot ill even PM you one to. I want to learn how to do this stuff but i get so pissed off trying.

I got it to work now and all settings work! Damn that was a work out...

Im going to let it float buy before i chop it up and remove some crap that i dont use and replace the launcher

the thing is bro i fixed the market force closes other people were having, cause i actually had it happen when i flashed it to my brothers phone and was able to see what was going on. everything else worked correctly tho

i haven't seen anyone else with these volume or ringtone problems

theres no way i can fix the bootloops. its caused by carrier iq. ciq has to be running to remove it the first time and its picky about how its done. that is why flashing 3.1 first(which has ciq enabled) then new versions should fix the problem

if you feel like trying something new odin back to ED13 rooted, take the phone update, use one click root, flash shabbykernal, flash cwm, make a backup and flash shabbymod 0.9, make a backup then flash 3.1 of a theme then 4.0 and tell me if that works
 
blood, theme looks great..............theres a couple of things i was hoping u could help me with. how would i change the color of the text? ive been working on a theme and wanted my text to match the color scheme. and i was wondering what the diferent signal icons were for....there are 2sets ...one begins with zzz.
 
Well everything worked great after install except The Market app and my file manager apps(super manager and es manager) went missing.

I could not figure out how to get them back so i am doing a CWM restore and will try again later.

Backed up EE14 and started fresh. flashed 4.0 over 3.1 and here I post! 4.0 is SICK the boot ani is pretty sweet! Simple--4.0 flashed great no problems except with the FC of the market app. Did a factory wipe and it bootlooped..

Any info will be appreciated at your disposal. 3.1 is cool until ya get everything worked out! Keep up the good work buddy!:D

delete the old 4.0 and download it again. I updated it and fixed the market problem

the icons that say stuff like zz_stat_sys_signal_0_sprint.png are the main signal icons

which text are you wanting to change? each piece of text is controlled by a different file
 
I am having the same issue others are having, as in the boot loop or the "will not fully boot" just staying on the boot animation. This is after trying many different ways of flasshing this new theme. One way I tried was to odin to stock took update, one click root, cwm, shaddy mod 0.9, theme 3.1, and then theme 4.0. The other way was odin to stock ee14 rooted with cwm, shaddy 0.9, theme 3.1 and then theme 4.0. After those two ways and others, I would let the phone boot up and then do a factory reset or clear all cache. And I will always get the damn boot animation just looping and vibrating. Is there a easy way to fix this????

did you do a factory reset each time? cause i found that will cause a bootloop

I did. I was able to get green 4.0 to work, but is there a way to do a factory reset and keep it from doing a boot loop or is that something that we have to live with?

P.S. that for the quick reply!!!!

not that i know of.

i may make a version of 4.0 that has carrier iq still on that way you guys that can't get it working will have something
