Well the new search widget has its own .apk now. Here is my first attempt to Nexify it. I'm still not good with 9.png files so its not 100% themed all the way yet.

I wouldn't mind testing for you fab, just let me know if you still need testers. Oh and for a name you should call it Fab's NexFroyoMadness : D (not good at names lol) Oh, stick with lp, it fits froyo so well! Your doing a great job by the way.
 
Looking really good there. Let me see if I can dig up the old Milrtime post on framework.res editing to figure out if the font color locations are the same or not...

I've been messing with this for the last 30 mins. Just trying to get the font to be white in the pull down notifications.

Sends the phone into a boot loop though when I try to change it the traditional way. Let me know if you get it figured out, I'm just gonna skip this for now (black text still looks fine)
 
Fab...I'd love to test out your Nex/Froyo creation as well. And I also vote for LauncherPro (I don't use anything else anymore).

Can't wait to see what you come up with!
 
Still plenty to do, switched to v2 of Birdman's ROM as the base, so had to get some stuff re-setup. Here's a progress report:

I read over at Droid-Life that people using apps2SD and either ADW or LP are having problems with the apps moved to SD disappearing from their phone. Mentions something about having to kill the launchers and then restarting them once the phone has finished boot up. I tested this with ADW and they do indeed disappear.

You might want to leave the stock launcher for the time being to avoid all of the questions.
 
I just got 1.1 installed and fully operational in the last few days. Can't wait for NexFro!

I second the request for the 1.1 font. That is one of my favorite features.
