If the bootloader gets defeated, the DroidX is going to Unleash!
OmG, Cyanogenmod and others!

He doesnt take donations because it is a hobby of his and he doesnt want it to feel like a job otherwise i would have! This would literaly take the X to whole new levels! can you imagine cyanogen mod or MIUI!
 
with as awesome as some of these ROMS are out there as it is...this stuff will TOTALLY unleash our DX's to be the phone it was meant to be!
 
It sounds like he is taking the same route the devs took in that last big push they made to unlocking it but never got past the radio problem, which happens to be one of his current issues. Oh well. Here's to wishful thinking.

Hopefully. The more people looking at it, the better. but I remember how much those guys tried cracking it last time. I think that's when koush gave up. I thought it was the nail in the coffin as far as the droid x bootloader. They all said the milestone kexec attempt was a dead end. Either way, the work is appreciated and I wish him the best of luck.
 
I have a TON of Respect for anyone who doesn't give up, against all odds.
Persistence will be what eventually cracks the X wide open. :D
 
"m going to be putting out weekly releases dependi on stability. The final hunk of software that we need is going to have a first release in February" the first sentence has me cautiously optimistic and the 2nd has me confused. What final hunk of software? Or is he predicting when he'll be done?

ummmmm.... yeah that would be because I apparently haven't learned how to copy and paste or do simple computer functions yet lol.... DOH... I fixed it now though...
