Root TheUltimateDroid 2.0.0 !

Glad I took the jump and installed this. No need to change kernals from the installed 800 mhz, very nice. Seems as snappy as UD 1.0 with a 1.2 kernal! Any themes for this? I can't seem to find any, thanks.
 
I flashed with no wipe and everything was great, except I couldn't boot into recovery and a bunch of apps were stuck downloading in the market, and maps wouldn't install. I flashed sp recovery and installed again with a wipe and now I'm getting fc's on many apps and I'm going to try installing. Ud1.

Its a script, not a program. What you mean "nothing"? It is working for me, at least as far as changing my carrier label on my lockscreen. It was written for non-source roms, so it may not be totally compatible, but it does change that.

I concur. The bluetooth is a dealbreaker for me. I drive a lot, and I bought a stereo that connects over bluetooth for calls and music. If it doesn't work - the ROM doesn't work for me.

Now, make a 2.01 with bluetooth working and I'll be back.
 
My bluetooth works fine through my stereo, i stream music through my speakers all the time, why are all these people having so mnay problem.You guys have some weird droids.

I think that this can be fixed by replacing the bluetooth.apk with another one. I suggest the one from CM6.1RC4. I have done this with BT, gallery, camera and calculator and I know it works for the last three, but I don't have a bluetooth headset to test on.

Lucky you. "Weird Droids"...humm. Wiped data, cache, and boot 3 times each again and reloaded. Same problems with the camera.

Try making a phone call after listening to music. Usually the call doesn't provide bluetooth audio.

or sometimes vice versa...............I'll have call audio and the stereo audio will crap out

I had assumed it would change the "Ultimate Droid" bbut the text I put in changed nothing. it is nowhere to be found.

home screen redraw lag. sorry, should have been more specific. It would take almost a full minute for the homescreen to show up again after exiting any app. I tried the redraw fix using the terminal emulator since it worked for the redraw lag in UD1 but it didn't change anything at all.

Someone here in the forum (yet unnamed) tweaked UD2 for me with the gallery, camera, bluetooth and calculator elements of CM6 and it STILL didn't work. There has to be something in the UD code (not the phone .apk's)that causes severe conflicts in my phone usage... it voice dials and connects fine via Bluetooth and then POW! No audio in or out. Weird. :confused:

I'm still baffled by your issue. I wonder if it is your BT headset that is causing the issue? Have you tried using your BT headset with a different phone?

It's not the headset. I nandroided back to UD1 and it works all day long, music and phone calls. It's just UD2 and LFY that give it conniptions in completely different ways. It's not a common problem per se, but according to other forums I'm not the only one with the issue.
 
While it looks pretty, this is the sloppiest and least stable ROM I have tried to date.
- The phone dialer has several issues displaying contact information.
- No phone call audio through the earpiece when connected to an A2DP device... phone must be rebooted to receive calls.
- Colored LED notifications do not work properly.
- The "bounce" effect in menus cannot be disabled, causing issues with Launcher Pro.
- Playing videos or streaming Slacker audio cause the phone to automatically reboot.
- Aside from being ugly, the included music player starts blasting music through the phone speaker when the device ends an A2DP session (even if no music was playing previously).

Not too big of a secret.:D

Does anybody that knows more about this stuff than I think there is any merit to this approach? I could try switching out the apks from UD 1, if I had a copy yet. Anybody have a link to the rom or willing to upload it for me?
