http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/345848-metro-flashed-evo-info-here.html

in the op there is a file a file depending on what rom you want (sense or aosp) that you flash after flashing a rom. also it has some suggestions on which roms work on metro. check it out.

thanx andy,
i'm loving the phone right now, but i need to find a kernel to help with the dreadful battery life it has. there is not that many to choose from, unfortunately.

I see that chad goodman has got a kernel out there, is it not compatible with the rom that you're on?

Go to androidfilehost.com and I believe there are a few kernels there for the Evo3D

thanx i will check it out. there is not that many kernels choose from but i'm working my way down the list to see which one i like.

It's like reading a new book that you've read before, finding all the quirks for your new phone. I'm finding that what was good on my old phone doesn't really work all that well on my new phone. Also, finding the sweetspot for my wife's phone is proving to be a pita:p But hopefully, all will be good once I do:)

yeah right now, it is sort of like when the evo was first rooted. i just hope that the devs start coming around to the evo. i really would like mik to come over to the "darkside". but who knows.

I'm sure in due time, more developers will move over but it's hard to say when or who will move. It's just getting used to the developers you're not familiar with, that's the hard part

yes this is very true andy. this is the first time going from one rooted community to another. it is very different and i guess i need to adjust a little.

I had an adjustment period when I went from the Hero to the OG. One of the really good things that hapened, for me at least, was Andy got an EVO not long after I did. He held my hand over there and got me rooted on the Hero. Made me feel a little more welcome to see a familiar "face".

I think aamikam got a 3vo didn't he?
Should be some good roms from him soon. ;)

he did but he had to return it. not sure why or if he got another one or not. but he posted it on what started out as his rom but then chogardjr took over and now it is just a stock blue theme rom. it is a little too chogardjr for me (if you have ever tried any of his mik theme'd roms you will know what i mean).

:D
hey guys,
so it is official, i have now officially moved on to the 3vo. today was payday for me and i had time on my hands so i decided to get the 3vo today. however, i still have my evo to flash roms and stuff.

the funny thing is that i just found out that though my port is loose, what my current issue turned out to be my cables. i have two and they both just crapped out on me i guess. when i came home from getting the 3vo i used the new cable that came with the new phone and low and behold my evo was charging. i guess i should have thought of that. lol maybe i was just looking for an excuse to upgrade.

anyways first impression is that the phone feels real good in my hands. it feels solid and more sturdier then my evo. i really miss the kickstand (looking into getting a case that has one). not sure that i like the charging port on the side. but man does this phone fly with stock. can't wait to root it and overclock this sucka. i also just found out that there is a tiamat version for the 3vo. looks like its back to cm7 for me.:D:D

ocnbrze, i've heard that htc has a case for the 3vo with a kickstand. just google it. and congrats with the new phone!!! :D

thanx. i was able to find one at best buy that is pretty decent. now all that is needed is an ics rom and a kernel that will give me better battery life then i'm currently getting.

That's why I'm waiting for a while to upgrade. I'll sit back and follow the development for the new devices and see where things get crazy. Worked great for the EVO. ;)

yeah that is why i held out as long ass possible, but my stupid usb port was failing.........stupid usb port:mad: but you know, i'm happy with my decision. it is really a nice phone. right now my phone is oc'd to 1728!!!!!!with no issues what so ever. maybe that is why my battery sucks, but man can this thing fly!!!

if i ever get the time to learn it, i will. but, why can't we get more hours in a day. there is just not that much time in a day and if there is where does it go?

I'm interested in learning a few things about deving and themeing as well. I wish mik or someone would post a useful guide to it(would take forever to do and be long as crap I'm sure). It seems like hes helped many of the other devs learn their stuff.

. Check out a thread by The Impaler over at XDA. Called: the impalers guide to themeing.

Good info if you have the patience to learn. :)

Granite, do you have a link to that thread you were talking about over in the Mik3D RC1 thread? I've tried looking for it and can't find it.
