Root Thoughts On CM7

Guys, please continue all of your hard work. I will be donating generously to the devs that bring CM7 to this Marquee. I have the Boost version.
A working CM7 is the ONLY key to unlocking this phones true potential. If you've never seen Cyanogenmod in person I feel pretty damn bad for you. I had it on the Optimus V for Virgin Mobile and Cyanogenmod transformed it into a totally different animal.
Speaking of Virgin Mobile, devs for the Triumph and the Optimus have working(for the most part) CM9 ports available...If they can do it, I know we can....

Yes but the screen isn't just a little better, it's much better...The cameras(front and rear) are much better too. The Triumph is still very nice. It had a few problems stock but CM7 fixed all of those
 
The triumphs early stages of cm7 wasnt easy camera issues bluetooth and hdmi with others but the processing power of the triumph among others is no match for the marquee and the screen dont help the phone performance,but boost shrinkage is worth given up,my vm crap plan atleast thats what i been tryn to tell myself
 
Those two are missing as well for me. I'll go ahead and remove those from the extract-files.sh now that I know both are missing the same.

Update: Started Marquee build, was running good but stopped at the same CameraHal errors as I'm getting with my Ignite build. Arg!

Nope, that's the whole kicker. I can build the Black CM7 from source just fine. Trying to disect everything to find out why it builds fine and ours doesn't. The first build I tried for the Marquee ran for 40 minutes straight and I thought it was going to build, but no.
 
Stuck on the LG logo. From the logcat output it looks like its not able to access dalvik. For kicks I replaced the boot.img with the one I used on the port we have been messing with and then it boots. However, it still has same exact issues as the ported version. This time it was compiled from source. The only difference in these boot.img 's is the init.rc. More digging:rolleyes:

Excellent answer. This is my first CM7 project ever so it's slow going.

No new news for tonight. Didn't not make any progress tonight:( I was hoping to get bluetooth working but had no luck.

I think I'll take a break and get everything setup for the Marquee in my repo with all my latest mods.

It appears I'm the only one with an Ignite on here but there's alot of Marquee users. This project probably will gain more momentum if I can get the Marquee building from source and hopefully someone with cm7 experience can jump right in. Also maybe inspire more people to work on it. I'll get it building and then do a how-to for you all to get it rolling.
 
I know Playfulgod is really good with this. I also wish I could get another developer who used to work with the Triumph to work here.
He's on a sabatical of sorts (LOL).
Remember Isaacj87? I still have his MIUI on my triumph.

CM7 I think will run smoother on this Marquee than it did on the Triumph.
The MT had a lot of bugs that didn't settle well with CM7 but were fixed in MIUI.

I can't be much help here and I don't have as much time on my hands as I used to be I'm always up for being a tester. =]
