My nephew is playing cod online in xbox, brother in law playing fifa online on ps3 and im browsing the web.... all through rr turbo basic... at the sametime... tested w/l speeds still pushing 5MB down 2mb up.... and I forgot to mention all this through a 25 dollar belkin n router....

Yeah I checked my wireless settings and adjusted a few things but overall it was ok the problem is line trouble from tw. I get 17 down but only.5 up, they will be here thursday lol

woah!!!! .5 up? yowza!! TW is cable modem, yeah? (damnit.... ive been watching the only good Top Gear, the UK Top Gear for like the last 3 hrs and ive developed brit speak LoL)
Im using midcontinents cable modem and just got 18.75 dn and 1.99 up.... not stellar on the up, but manageable. The thing that bugs me still is that the only thing used for upload on a PC is the very small request info you send off when your browser req's the next page, that is of course unless your video chatting or something like that. Your COD upload isnt crazy huge, and if anything, your gf being online usually screws up your game not the other way around regardless of who was online first. Im more familiar (esp from the type of job that i have) with dsl than cable modem, but my best friend is an installer for midcontinent and has been for about 6 years, if your bband (broadband) issue isnt resolved, id be interested in seeing what he did and i can ask my friend if he has any suggestions from there. She does video chat with her family in ohio. It was pretty laggy but I had xbox on cod and who knows what her moms net is so I ignored it. The upload isn't huge on cod but it's enough that getting .5 effs me up. They could barely connect when I called them after she rebooted it. Hopefully it gets resolved thursday I pay good money for turbo with power boost.
As far as the router I changed my channel from 6 to 11 everyone in the apt complex is on 6. Also changed 2.4 width to auto, it was on 20
Also the xbox isn't on wireless its wired to the router

oh and what speed are you provisioned at? im provisioned at 20 dn and 2 up, and im at VERY near that. i could imagine that youre set at the same

You know I cant recall, I pulled 18 dn a few times, so im not sure if its 15 and that was my boost kicking in or if its 20 and i just couldnt reach it. Pretty sure I used to get more than 2 up though. I ran a speedtest on my phone a few months back when i was on wifi (accidentally actually i was trying to test my 3g) anyhow I swear it was like 5 or 6 up.
I just got an automated call about they fixed something in my area that may have been affecting it, would i like to cancel my appt, uh...hell no get your asses out here.
