Titanium Backup

so i've rooted 2 phones now, backed up 1 with titanium backup, saved the backup to my laptop... tomorrow i will start removing what i think is bloatware :D

protip: use the freeze option if its available on the free version. Then you can test the waters on the removal scene before fully removing anything. If no crash after several days, likely you can kick it down the road for good. Some apps are obvious bloat, others can be tied into the system when you think they wouldn't. Up to you, I like playing the caution card...been burned too many times. :)

Like Funky said, the nandroid is the ultimate saviour on that front but freezing temporarily can flesh out problems as well. Without having to do a full scale restore to get things back up to snuff.

If i connected my phone to my laptop, and just pulled files i believed to be bloatware out of my phone, and put them on my laptop temporarily would that be similiar to freezing? or is that not a good idea?

if phone acts up i can just put the file back and move on to another file? or is there a danger in doing that opposed to freezing?

Tbh i dont know. Can files still be transferred to the phone from a pc if the phone wont boot?
Also, just moving the files to the phone wont install them. That has to be done within the phone afaik

No that's not a good idea. That is a likely way to brick your phone.
Freeze apps by using the Disable button in App Manager if it's available, or with TB's Freeze function. Don't try to manually move files around.
