To wait or not to wait?

Hi all.

I'm on verizon and my contract just expired. I want but have never had an android phone.

Htc was recommended to me and the incredible looks like it lives up to its name.

There's a pretty sweet buy one get one free deal on the incredible right now but I think there are some new android phones coming out soon. Will the incredible be obsolete by mid-february? Should I indulge and buy the incredible or wait for something better? How much better is android than the old blackberry curve (my current phone)?
 
how much better.... like changing from a donkey... to a prize winning horse.

inc is a great phone... but it is getting long on the tooth.
you might want to do some research on the up coming HTC Thunderbolt. It is the Sprint EVO, with a few changes.

also... you might look at saving some $$ on monthly service by re-evaluating other providers.
 
do you need to be on the cutting edge of tech? if so wait a few months pick up the thunderbolt or bionic. Otherwise go with the incredible, fascinate or droid X now, all three are great phone and will be for a while.
 
I'd also wait for the next generation of cellphones (dual core processors, nVidia Tegra 2, etc.) Once they come out, all phones from 2010 will really be quite outdated.

The Incredible is sooooooo 2010... literally. :)
