Root Toggle between 4g and 3g

When was on the indulge,I was using anycut,which let me toggle 3g to 4g which extended my battery life a whole lot.Anycut does not have the same settings in lg esteem.I know I can turn the data off completely,but as I use tune in radio a lot,I now have to use 4g exclusively,which drains the battery.
Is there any kind of similar 3g to 4g toggle available for the esteem?
Am running gingersteem 2 with homeless kernal and lg optimizer. Thanks for any help.
 
Try lte on/off
the title says it's for the HTC thunderbolt but it works for the esteem. Only thing is if you try to switch back to 4g you may have to reboot your device
4g to 3g/1x works fine, but to switch it back I had to reboot my device after changing it back

The problem I have with this is that I lose about 20-40% of battery during a reboot.

Really? I've never experienced this with the app. Only reason I stopped using it was because I didn't really notice any difference in battery life between when I had 4g disabled and when it was on

That's WAY too much. I'll lose about 20% on a backup or restore but NOT on a reboot. Have you ever used quick reboot? It reboots the phone without fully shutting down.

Don't worry bud, optimizer got those settings today. As far as a few other goodies ;)
