Root [TOOL] AIO ROOT, UNROOT, and RECOVERY INSTALLER (GUI EDITION)

here is the link to my modular version. anyone with a decent understanding of .bat files should be able to figure out how to customize it for different devices

https://www.dropbox.com/s/gow0p6swa9d2k2u/AIO_MODULAR.zip

anyone who needs a little help, there is a file inside the zip called porting.txt that gives a pretty good explaination of what each part is. also there are still unnecessary files in there such as my unused bmp files, you can delete those if you like

anyone who wants to port it to a different phone is free to do so, thats why i spent hours yesterday making it portable, i do plan on releasing a more compacted version of the tool with less batch files laying around an no more garbage but for now its fully functional and pretty easily portable

k, i cleaned up the garbage, modified it to not have so many batch files, there is just one for each install method, which technically i could change but eh i might as well leave them seperated it makes things easier to modify

ok, i think ive managed to fix the fotakill thing, if someone could try it i would greatly appreciate it. also its been updated to the modular version because i didnt separate the projects lol. still works exactly the same just a little slimmer and its portable

I downloaded the AIO_MODULAR moved it to my PC and tried to extract it but says "no archives found" when I 'extract here'. The WinRAR diagnostic messages says the archive is either in unknown format or damaged.

your download probably got corrupted, try downloading it with the computer itself if possible. but as far as doing it right you were doing it fine i guess, though rom manager has been proven to not work most of the time. if it worked for you though thats great. main problem is this has nothing to do with cwm... i dunno where that came into play. the tool can install cwm for you, but already having it makes no difference when doing the fotakill.

make sure youre rooted, get the newest version of the modular tool, and hit ota-kill. it is different now

K, I'll dl it on PC. Just hope the tether doesn't get interrupted, lol. I'll just do the power+vol down method. I mentioned cwm just cuz that's where it goes during recovery/reboot process.

wait what? no im saying dont be in cwm, at all, this tool is built to work from within the rom, i have no idea what youre trying to do but if youre trying to use my aio tool youre doing it wrong. like i said, it has nothing to do with cwm, and in fact wont even work right from within cwm

Not running it's through cwm. I just go to the reboot screen and wipe caches and then boot er up and then do the AIO tool while phone is in normal running mode. Ran the updated AIO tool and a window pops up saying it took too long and to check my drivers. Then the phone rebooted on its own while hooked up to PC. Aaaand still get the notification.... ugh.

alright, the timing may be wrong, or possibly even a different problem. but for reference you should wipe caches AFTER, wiping before is pointless youre just giving them a chance to refill again

itll be uploaded in about 10 minutes from this post. ill update this post when its done

k its uploaded, should work now hopefully

also make sure that your phone is set up to connect to adb properly though im sure you got that covered already if it worked for things before. the normal usb debugging setting stuff

LOL, figured out what I WAS doing wrong. I kept the phone on media tranfer instead of just "charge only". So, non the less, i changed that, the fotakill installed and rebooted the phone. I pwr + vol down reboot, cleared all caches and it STILL pops up. System software update B09 :( if worse comes to worse and I unroot it and DO THE UPDATE. Will the doomlord root run fine with the B09 software? I dont mind rooting it, I just HATE redoing all my contacts. I have everything backed up with TB.

well, you dont have to unroot to update to b09, to run the official ota update though you need stock recovery if im not mistaken. rooting should work exactly the same, and the contacts thing... why not just set them all to sync with google like i do? i can switch roms or even android phones all day and they just pop up on the phone automatically

SO pretty much for the full update I'll havta unroot and do a system and user data wipe from the boot screen? I THINK I have my contacts set up with Google...but who knows. I click on the Google option when I add each contact, so it should be synced.

if youre running stock rom, and your using the official update that the phone downloaded automatically, you dont unroot, you dont wipe anything, you just make sure youre running stock recovery then press the update button

HAHAAA, how the he!! do I do that? I have no knowledge. I have a stock rooted rom option, I know where that is, lol. But currently I'm running the doomlord. Imported the contacts from vCard though. Yaay.

my tool has a button, says stock recovery if thats what you were talking about. then you hit the notification on your phone like you would normally to update. and to check your contacts through google you just go to gmails website and check your contacts there, they should match what you have in your phone, that is what it syncs to

I REALLY appreciate all your help. I wanna learn all this system software and roms and all that beautiful stuff. And possibly help out as well. I'll give the stock recovery a shot tomorrow/today.

not as is, as is it will possibly brick your phone. it is made to be changed over to work with other phones, but is currently only set up for the warp sequent
what phone are you trying to root? i might be able to make a version for it if we can fin a root method and some recoveries

basically this tool in itself is just the regular command prompt doomlord method for rooting, some simple scripts i wrote for installing cwm, in a nice little package. read the porting.txt file that comes along with it if you want to learn how to make it work for other devices

ah you have some s3 clone. id get yourself some generic one click root solution. my brother had this really cheap sylvania tablet with some weird version of gb on it that didnt support most apps. recovery on it doesnt even function its wonderful... but anyway, i managed to get temporary root with one click then force su superuser.apk and busybox on there through adb. just remember if you manually force busybox on you have to not only copy it to the right place you have to run its install command to create the proper symlinks

UGH, I tried everything to get the stock recovery on your AIO tool to work. Nothing works. First it, what I think is, put my phone in a bootloop. (android on screen and red light on even when not plugged in). Took battery out and all good. Checked drivers and something was recognized A000000 somethin or other, when phone plugged into laptop. Did the device manager and no yellow warning marks. Downloaded the driver in the driver menu and it says I have a more up to date one or somethin. I downloaded the adb installer that was in the driver help option. Did that process, everything looked fine. Fastboot stock recovery did the same thing it did the first time, on both "charge only" and "media". So I don't know what else I can do to get the stock recovery to work.

umm, well what you thought was a bootloop, was bootloader mode... its supposed to go to that screen, try the terminal method if that isnt working for you but id say you might not have fastboot drivers installed and working properly, they are different from the adb drivers
