Root [TOOL] AIO ROOT, UNROOT, and RECOVERY INSTALLER (GUI EDITION)

Tried the charge only again and when I do each time, the phone turns off then on a few times, and the rooted notification window pops up. I cwm standard it, the shell is granted su permission. So it thinks its working.

I tried using the other tool and pushing keys for the install
C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
Chose the root option, yadda yadda and all it keeps saying is "the system cannot find the path specified".

Right. One would think so. But no cwm installation either. Can't get in TB cuz it can't acquire root privileges. So I dunno. I have the debugging and unknown sources checked. Plug it into laptop, root, cwm....and nothing. Is that b09 restricting it somehow? I got no idea.

they might have plugged the hole, im not sure. but one sure way to get it to root is to manually force it. i will try to get around to making a flashable zip and in the mean time i just posted instructions on how to make that fastboot method work. the method of manually forcing the drivers so that you can make it put cwm on there without even having root

see if you can manage that, if that works then youre good to go as far as a backup and its just a matter of forcing the root components on there properly

LOL, aaaand my laptop device mgr doesn't see the phone while its in bootloader mode. And both Android phone and Portable device show up when plugged in while turned on.

like i said, its not gonna see it as the same thing, it probably wont even be under the android category, but it should see something

i have the drivers properly installed already so it shows up as a zte debug interface under adb something or other. it will be there, you just gotta find it and make it use the right driver, could be under ports, could be under unknown devices, but it WILL NOT be the same thing as the adb you get when the phone is on, its in a different category and its a different type of connection altogether. i cant do much more than this, so if you cant find it im sorry but you wont be rooted and you wont ever be able to backup the phone again or install custom roms

K, I'll search. *thank you B09 for f'n up my phone* Bogus. All I want is cool shiz on my phone and able to tether.

Somehow I figured it all out and went around all the driver junk. I just rooted it with the regular doomlord zip, that worked flawlessly. And installed cwm standard using terminal on your AIO tool and it worked no problem. Cwm recovery all set. TB DID say the su binary has non-optimal access rights but it fixed it for me. Rebooted it through cwm and it asked if I wanna disabled the stock recovery possibility, clicked yes and its running just fine......as far as I know.

umm, the doomlord tool is the same thing thats in the aio... i dont know why it worked for you all of the sudden but hey at least it worked

I know right. Was thinking the same thing. But somehow it saw something different and went through. Made a backup and I'm a happy man. Hope it keeps working.

Good thing I made a root backup cuz I installed everything from TB AND ES explorer that I backed up when it was still on B07. Think the ES is what messed it up cuz I full rebooted and it went back to B07. OHHH SNAP!!! Restored the root backup and deleted ES explorer and unwanted apps, reinstalled user apps from TB, created a NEW root backup and GOOOOD TOOO GOOOO.....PHEW.

I've been playing around with my Sequent this morning using Junkie's scripts and I have a question. I've searched the forum because I figured that somebody had already asked it, but I had no luck finding an answer.

At the moment, I have installed the stock recovery FTM and have unrooted the phone. When I boot to FTM, I can't figure out how to get out of it without pulling the battery. Does anybody know how to do it? I've tried every button combination I can think of and have had no success.

"fastboot reboot" should do it ;)

edit: oops lol yea fastboot and ftm are not the same. good thing we have junkie keeping us in line :)

ftm isnt fastboot... ftm mode cant be reset with anything but the official tools which wont just reboot it for you. the one and only way to reboot from ftm mode other than running and completing the updater tool is to pull the battery

Hey so I just tried to install CWM Standard and was just wondering how long it should take. Its been on the screen with the android logo for about 15 minutes now and during this, a message popped up saying the process was taking too long and to check my drivers. I've checked my drivers and everything is up to date. Is this normal?

Edit: Okay so I took out the battery and everything started up fine, but CWM wasn't installed. I tried again and everything worked fine. I probably just messed up somewhere.

well as long as it worked. always keep in mind that fastboot drivers are a pain, and completely different from adb drivers

probably could... ill have to look into building a gui on linux other than command line or zenity which in all its greatness cant combine multiple functions in a single window. ill see what i can figure out and get back to you, hopefully with a working linux gui edition, and maybe if you guys are really lucky ill make a mac one too. or if im feeling froggy i might go with java or something that is cross platform so one tool can run on any system and detect your os

but for right now yall will just have to deal kuz im tired lol. at the same time though if you can use linux properly you shouldnt have much trouble at all doing the missing functions by hand. but i will see what i can work out probably tomorrow, learn some java and try making a nice little menu for everyone

see now yall started somethin. i meant to go to sleep almost 2 hours ago and ya got me over here learning java :P lol. if it turns out like i plan though itll be worth it
