yeah i got past that and got to the screen where the first thing you see serv. pkg or something like that. In that it asks for my mdn (phone number) <_---just like that. im thinking the min is the issue now,

yup, I think so too. metro will give it to you no problem. If they ask why you need it tell them you had change phones and had to manually update.

Yea I had this issue. So I restored to 2.2.1 , fixed my esn and something else mdn. But I still needed to call metro to get some other pieces of info. I played dumb. They tried to activate it but it failed.

I changed the network settings to auto(not metropcs only). Then dialed *228 and activated everything worked after that.

If u bricked ur phone and esn/meid is gone ur spc is six 0's

ok, looking at this, I wonder if the spc code is incorrect. it is not letting you write because you dont have permission.

Make sure you did all of the following:

mode offline-d
spc 000000
RequestNVItemRead scm
RequestNVItemWrite scm 0x3a
RequestNVItemWrite meid 0xAXXXXXXXX (Your MEID Hex from android - whiterabbit.org enter your MEID underneath battery here in this section to get MEID Hex: MetroPCS on any Android (or non-Android) phone)
RequestNVItemRead esn

Now restart phone

How did you mess up your MEID? Did you unbrick, or were you messing around with QXDM or CDMA Workshop?

If you were messing with those programs and "accidentally" changed it then congratulations you just screwed up your ESN and MEID
You have to go and follow the unbrick phone thread to zero out your MEID on purpose so that you are allowed to program it back in, make sure you get your MIN # written down somewhere in a safe place.
Once a MEID is programmed into a phone, it cannot be changed unless it is zeroed out first.
