THIS IS FOR BOOST.

Hey guys, broke my phone earlier so I have the wrong info on it.

btw

never use another phones partition 11. I completely regret doing this.

That guy contains your MEID and shit, and I didn't have a backup. So new phone time.

Anywho,

UPDATE SCRIPT

To be released after I get my new phone

Odin files:
Technically you can update normally, then just flash my System.img if you so desire.
PREROOTED AND READY TO GO.
Follow odin thread for instructions on flashing
Boot.img(Kernel)
System.img(System)(Extract the tar from the zip)

Baseband Update:

Waiting on new phone so I can fully test this...

Sorry for the wait, and sorry there's not much at this time, but it's what I have to offer, if you flash system.img, you'll need to factory reset to clear the caches out, sorry.

Would really appreciate the donations :P going towards a new phone

Is it safe to Odin this from a custom ROM? Also, I'm assuming after I flash these I will still have CWM.

Edit: Also, will it be like I'm on stock 2.3.6 after I flash this, or will pieces of my current ROM still be there?

i have not recieved ota update... so im going to use interdpth's odin update! yay!... THANKS interdpth!

ok here it goes... i got about 30 mins to play... creating backup now...

*add* going for odin

*add* hmmm... not reconizing my phone.... hmmm i guess reinstall drivers (rename all .bin to .exe)

*add* reinstalled samsung drivers but still no connection to my phone???.... im going to reboot both my phone and computer...

*add* ok rebooted... i did however realize that after entering the "first" screen in download mode, you then have to press volume up to fully enter download mode (so i probably did not need to reinstall the drivers... i just needed to read my screen)

*add* ok im now connected to odin... selected ops... checked one package and selected System.img(System)... then clicked start

*add* activity in download mode... looks like its working... then the phone automaticly rebooted.... phone loaded, does not look like any thing has changed yet... odin says "pass"... about phone says 2.3.4... going to odin boot now (dont see how that would change anything)...

*add* ok im now connected to odin... selected ops... checked one package and selected Boot.img(Kernel)... then clicked start

*add* taking a very long time... the system only took maybe a minute, but boot wich is smaller has taken 7 mins and still going... hmmm, i do not want to unplug my phone!!! will wait till at least 15 mins into it before i do that!

*add* grrrr.... goin on 10 mins... download screen says:
ODIN Downloader, Image download START
Image size : 6291456
6291456 size image recieved OK!
wait for usb_read
boot(kernel) Write

*add* ok 15 minutes... going to pull the plug.... hopfuly i can get back into cwm... here goes.

*add* before i pulled the battery i cloased odin and tryied to restart the odin download... no go... got this:
<5> StartThread Detected : 0
<6> StartThread Detected : 0
<7> StartThread Detected : 0
<8> StartThread Detected : 0
<1> --- cannot open the usb serial port. code: 2

*add* ok pulled battery... going for regular boot... yeah!... it booted... received some error (disapeard before i could read it) but looks good enough.... wow just quickbooted it self hmmm... THANK YOU FOR CWM!!!!

time for me to cwm restore and hit the bed ... will redownload everything and try again tomorrow!

*add* ok cwm restore went well... took an hour to go throu all these steps, but im a slow typer, typing easly took half the time.

JUST BECAUSE IT DID NOT WORK FOR ME THIS TIME DOES NOT MEAN IT WONT WORK FOR YOU... I PROBABLY MESSED SOMTHING UP OR MISSED A STEP... BUT DO UNDERSTAND THE RISK YOU ARE TAKING WHEN YOU ALTER YOUR PHONE IN ANY WAY!
(i do want to attemt it again but im toooo tired)

... till next time...

:hmmmm::dontknow: i tried to flash the boot as well using odin and i waited 35 mins before i said the hell with this and gave up and pulled the battery lol,i still have cwm, root, and a working phone.

I also tried to flash last night. Went through the same steps, flashed both images, flash hung for a few minutes on the boot image, pulled battery, phone appears to be unchanged.

Anybody know what the problem is?

try reflashing cwm.tar from badsector's odin page and try it again after . theres something with odin and slow computers that it will not load right . i've tried using odin on a netbook and it takes an hour if not longer to do nothing. i had to reflash cwmr from my desktop I7 to get past cwmr boot loop.

hahahaha, I flashed from a Phenom II 1090T (6 cores @ 3.2 GHz each), so I don't think my computer speed is the problem. Thanks for the advice though.

Is there something different about badsector's cwm.tar? I have the CWM that interdpth made a while back.

EDIT: just tried flashing the cwm tar first, then boot (still had to pull battery), then system tar. Same result: No change.

Is there any reason I couldn't extract the boot.img and system.img files from the tar files, generate the md5s and flash them inside CWM?

Edit: I tried, but it always says md5 mismatch. I checked the md5s 3 times.

Please describe what you did. What ROM were you running before hand? What did you flash? Does the order matter? No matter what I do it doesn't work!!!

Thanks.
i thought it was 2.3.6 but really 2.3.4 i flashed system image and still had root
