Root Two phones on the same "line".

OK. So TEP is replacing my old EVO and some day I'm getting the new EVO.
Is there a way for my old EVO to use the same sprint "line" so that I can switch back and forth between the two phones? Can I program my old EVO to pretend it's the new one?

I just got replacement from Asurion and reactivated the phone from the phone's menus. I suppose I'll have to ask sprint if they charge when you swap phones on your own. I think their charging me an activation fee for the new EVO.

I called Sprint. I get charged an activation fee for the new phone, but not replacements and when I get the new phone I'll be able to swap back and forth without charge.

you can have as many phones on the same line as you'd like. people will say you can't because they think it's illegal (could be where you live) and most forums won't tolerate people talking about it. but it's absolutely possible, pretty handy and not too difficult. just look up threads on "flashing to boost" and it'll point you in the right direction.

If you're in the USA, which as a Sprint customer the OP presumably is, there's no "think" about it; cloning the ESN/MEID is illegal.
