Two questions about TapFish

I felt it here in East Tennessee. We're all sitting on the same slab of bedrock, so we share the joy.

I thought a tree had fallen on our house. Everything was shaking, but it kept on shaking. I ran outside to see what it was, and was afraid the chemical plant had had an explosion, but I got through to my husband's lab. That's when it hit me it was an earthquake. When I got back inside the tv was no longer people shooting guns in Qaddaffi's compound and said "Earthquake!", so I called the lab back.

Of course, all the scientists figured out what it was as it happened...::giggles:: They are no fun sometimes!

Haha. I thought there were people on the floor above me doing loud maintenance repair work or something, then felt some swaying back and forth. It was actually kind of fun haha, but obviously wouldn't be fun if it was stronger in magnitude and caused damage.

I felt it in New York - sitting in a movie theater thinking that the kids behind me were messing with my chair. I didn't learn it was an earthquake until hours later. Strangest feeling ever - not to mention extrememly disconcerting.

Wow, I was sleeping when the quake happened... Haha now I feel stupid for that last post.

Obeewan I just checked my green tank and everyone is still hungry and dirty. It didn't say you had visited visited either.

The earthquake was a little scary when we didn't know what was going on but it was over pretty fast and we could see that there was no damage. We were outside for a long time and when we finally got back in we were told we could leave. It was lovely weather at least. I stayed and left at my regular time because I knew it would be packed and didn't see the point. As it was, my Metro ride took twice as long as normal because trains were traveling at half speed.

droidros I felt it in Charlotte NC this afternoon, my first time experiencing an earthquake!

My daughter lives in Charlotte. Have you heard of Foodie Call? That's her business.

I was trying to call her to find out whether she had felt the quake but apparently she is on vacation (which is quite unusual). Her employee said they had felt the earthquake.

Wow its a small world, I have heard of it and actually saw one of the delivery cars last week. I haven't tried it yet, but was really glad to hear about it when I learned Savory Shuttle left town. Ordering pizzas gets boring.

Not sure what is going on with my tanks then. I have no dead fish anywhere and I have not seen any indication that anyone has visited. I believe it has something to do with when we change Roms on our devices. I play this on my Nook Color and change Roms occasionally to the newest stuff out there. I will check and see what is going on when I get home tonight. Might just delete out the game and any remains of it and reinstall it. I beilieve I should be able to Restore it from that point and maybe I won't be showing any dead fish to all of you. Will give that a shot tonight after work...

Eghill, you're alive! All your fish are fine now.

Something else weird happened. This morning I was notified that someone called A000...### had fed my fish. When I went into Social to see if this player's name was added, MY name got changed to A000...### (this has happened once before). The neighbor's A000 name was not on the list.

Whoever visited and cleaned my tanks/fed my fish, thanks. I did see Eghill's name later, but if someone else also visited, you may have been assigned the A000 name instead of your own.

That's weird. I am at work and did nothing with mine to change it. Has to be their servers that cause conflicts like that..

For android version 2.2.2 use gingerbreak. Simple one button root.

Now then, if you guys want cheap and easy experience, I set all of my money tanks to neighbor XP mode. In that there are no feeding blocks. In addition to that, since you only get XP once all fish are fed, most only have one fish in there. And a green snapper at that so it'll get hungry faster. What else...

Aaazian. Your game updates on server when you gain a level. If you manipulated the files to get lvl 80 you're gonna have to restore and redo your tanks if you want your tanks visible to other players.

Also I check my neighbors tanks often I won't feed them but if they're dead don't waste a potion to revive them unless you want to cause I have unlimited bucks and can revive them myself. I think that covers everything lol

TapRos, maybe that A000... is me, I logged on earlier and noticed my player name switched to A000... but then I contacted the developers, lets see what they say.

Update: All the "Money xx" tanks have been changed to "Neighbor" and "Deadpool" a piranha breed tank has been added. Enjoy.

I just wanted to thank you guys again for reviving all my bred fish! Not only that but I now have a bunch of neighbors that I can visit. This game just got a little more fun.

I didn't root my phone so everything fish bucks I own is from installing apps and whatnot. Has anyone tried the going into the sponsor paid offers and signing up for the grocery discount coupons? They try to get you to sign up for additional services but you can skip all of those (3-4 of them). I then went to my junk email folder and clicked the verification link. I did this yesterday and didn't get any buX. I'm curious to know if anyone else tried it and got their bucks.

Had anyone done the math for the white grunts? is it worth the 15% to just sell all in your opinion, or not and just sell individually?

White grunt sell price = 5,880
Plus 20% happiness = 7,056
Tank of 50 = 352,800
15% commission = 52,920

I'd say that 52,920 coins is worth the trouble of selling one at a time!

Aw man, I was hoping you wouldn't say that. It takes so long to sell individually when having more than two tanks full of them.. But I guess the "sell all" option is never a good deal.

I only bulk sell the real cheap fish, like the snappers or goldfish.

Spending 15% on the total commission for a tank of happy fish is almost the same as your fish not being happy when you sell them. :(

For example, if the regular sell price for a fish is 200, your tank will sell for 10,000.

20% of 10,000 is 2,000 so the happy sell price would be 12,000.

15% of 12,000 is 1,800. So your bulk sale would bring you back down to 10,200.

I bulk sold when the bonus of the fish minus the 15% is an actual profit still. I bulk sold electric eels and great whites for instance. Selling individually won't double income. So if selling individual fish doesn't A.) Get you another tank after refilling the one you sold (like banded butterfly fish) or B.) is the only way to profit (like borbonius and gramma whose bonus is actually less than 5 percent so bulk sells actually put you in the hole) then bulk sell.

Pink Skunk, great whites, electric eels (high level), and barracuda turn a decent profit even in bulk sell. Course with pink skunk you lose about 20mil, which seems bad until you factor in that it's like a 150 sell overall.

In this sense it's also important to factor in exactly how much you're getting per fish for happiness. Pink skunk have a net profit of 600,000 coins per fully adult super happy fish. Losing 15% of that isn't so bad when keeping it won't bring you any closer to making a new tank in addition to the one you're replacing.

I run two and a half pink tanks and it'll be a while before that turns to three or four.

Wait I'm confused... The most I've ever gotten for a Pink Skunk per fully grown happy adult is only 319,000 coins....

Oh sorry, didn't see "net profit"

No you were right. You just didn't notice the cost/price when you sold. Each pink skunk sells for 3,180,000 coins. And cost 2,500,000 coins so you get about 600,000 which is sell price minus the cost to replace. Multiply that by 50 and boom 30,000,000 profit.

If you go back a few pages I broke it down completely.
