Pink Skunk Clown Fish
Price: 2,500,000
Adult sale price: 2,625,000 Five days.

Cost for full tank 125,000,000 (122,500,000 with algea eater)

Price for full tank sale individually sold with 90+% happiness: 150,000,000 (147,000,000 with algea eater)

Insane amount of coin but if you can spare enough for one or two the profit is pretty nice. For the time, I'd say Borbonius is officially blown out of the water. This little fellow is a 650,000 coin profit per fish per 5 days versus 300,000 for three days. Meaning, it more than doubles the profit. Not only does it increase by 125k for adult hood but the 20% of a 2.5m fish. Definitely worth the coins to drop a couple in a money tank.

Although the skunk fish is a nice looking BIG coin fish on paper, its by no means the best fish to "farm" coins with.

If you are lvl 65+ take a look at the Eel in high level fish Area (lvl 65 req)

If you invest 2.5 mill coins in a skunk fish, you get aproxx 600k profit off one.

If you invest that same 2.5mill in Eels, which sells for a net profit off 135000 coins, minus the 75000 cost, resulting in a 60k profit per fish

2.500.000 / 75.000 = 33 eels (and a tiny bit of spare left)
33x60.000 = 1.980.000

So for the same amount of coins invest into 1 skunk clown fish, one can get TRIPLE the benefit of the investing the same coins into the eels.
Keep in mind that the eels only require 4 days, versus the 5 days the clown fish needs..

only requires you to be lvl 65 =D

Myself im 2 levels away from 65, and current i have a tank with 20 skunk clown fishies, non rooted. ill be sure to invest EVERY coin i have in 15ish full tanks with eels as quick as i can, for 8 days i calculated i'll make a profit of around 100mill

If i made some silly mistake, feel free to correct/slap me, cause im tired as hell from work, but ye, eels in my book look like a defenite winner =D

Dibs, in theory you are correct. But by that logic banded butterfly is better than the electric eel. It yields a 100% profit before happiness. So for that same 2.5 mil coins, making only banded butterflies, you make 5 mil. And they mature in a day instead of 4. You'd need thousands of tanks but yeah.

My point is practicality. Though you net more percentage wise with eels, it would take you quite a few tanks. Bucks for algea eaters, food blocks overall maintenance to equal one pink skunk tank.

One pink skunk is about 33 eels? But I can fit 50 skunks in a tank. Using just eels that's a total of 1,650 eels. Or well yeah 33 eel tanks per one pink skunk tank. At level 63, you can cover that once. Twice at 66-80. However I can make three tanks...

To put it better consider this. A tank with 49(48 if you use algea eaters) eels and one pink skunk. You boost profit significantly simply by trading out one eel, something you couldn't otherwise do due to fish limits of 50 per tank.
 
I've got all 36 of the Fang Tooth breedables in two tanks right now, 18 each, Fang1 and Fang2, but they're not adjacent like my other dual breed tanks

New 7th algae eater too!

Working on mine too. I usually pop ugly fish in preexisting breeding tanks but there aren't any left so I might make two tanks lol.
 
Aye that was pretty much my goal at the moment, im going to do the eel tanks twice, make 100 mill, and from there on coins dont really matter anymore. Its just SO much better then the skunks if you just do it twice or maybe three times.

but ye, not going to fiddle around with 100 tanks of eels =p

Aw man, made a mistake by spinning the wheel while at a full tank and landed on a blue starfish, and it didn't show up. Tried to spin again, but my turn was lost... Thought maybe the fish was in the inventory, but nope. Damn, another five days..

Field test complete. And completely useless. It costs basically 8 fish bucks per day remaining until maturity per fish. It's also oddly placed where sell was someone could easily accidentally speed up an algea eater (20 days to mature) and burn a lot of bucks.

Probably good if you have near mature fish and aren't on often but I doubt it.
 
What? Is it possible I'm playing a different game? A goldfish in special cost me fish bucks to buy. He's a breedable, correct? I swear all these recent problems lately must have to do with my game being different from the real game or something.. I feel like I'm going crazy!

Are you looking in the super exotic category? Goldfish is 14 coins and yes, breedable. Oh and there's a new update.
 
Yeah, I'll try to take a picture of it and post it here. I actually spent real money to buy the fish bucks to get it because I love goldfish and didn't want to wait to accumulate the bucks from downloads.

Alright, well goldfish are now showing up as 14 coins. Do the developers change fish prices, whether it be coins or bucks? I swear I'm not crazy, I specifically remember spending $4.99 on the fish buck offer to buy the 14 buck goldfish, which is happily swimming in my OBEEWAN tank right now... And I don't have an extra 14 bucks hanging around so.. Haha.
 
The hurricane is coming tomorrow. Hope everyone stays safe and the power doesn't go out! If there are feeding blocks in the tanks, will the fish be okay and not die for a couple days if the power does give out? I may just put them all in the inventory to be on the safe side.
 
I wrote to the developers because I am still seeing a lot of tanks of dead fish when I visit neighbors who have just visited me..aaazian is one example. I'm wondering whether its because they have versions on different devices or restored their game at some point and I'm seeing an old version even though they are playing with the new one.

That's so weird. Yes, I saw your goldfish and he's the same as the cheap one. Maybe he has some magic power that the others don't though. :)

I'd suggest you write to them and ask about it. I think they will refund your bucks.
 
TapRos, I went to aaazian's tanks and saw only her second tank full of deads. Her first tank was alive, and the rest of tanks were caked in algae. Is that what you see? And do the versions of TapFish differ from phone to phone (Droid X vs. Eris)? Or is it just iPhone vs. Android?

No prob, glad to help. Also I actually am an accounting major and I did the math wrong there. So here's the official numbers.

Pink Skunk Clown Fish:
Price: 2,500,000
Maturity: 2,625,000 (Five days)
Sell price with 90%+ happiness: 3,150,000

Profit: (sell price - original buying price) 650,000.

Multiply that by 50 (for a full tank sold minus the cost to put 50 fish back in the tank) and your grand total for net profit is 32,500,000 coins in five days in one tank. Course you have to spend 125,000,000 to get it so if you can't do that just replace a couple fish at a time with skunks.
 
Thanks everyone for checking on my "old" tanks! Didn't realise they're still visible, not sure how to fix it though. :confused:

Mindabenda84, I've never really messed with any of the files. All I did was formatted my phone and installed tapfish back again. Not rooted either. Can't root my phone now cause the bootloader is locked when I formatted it.
 
Aaazian, do you get notified when people have visited you? I have visited a few times and have cleaned tank or two, but I keep seeing the dirty tanks.

Another neighbor who's visited me recently but who has a bunch of dead fish and dirty tanks when I visit is AmysRadTanks.
 
I got my refund! I think I'm going to put it towards getting a Discus next. Seeing the bred fish in others' tanks from the Discus looks to be the next prettiest/coolest (besides the Angler and the fish I've already got) in my book!

Mindbenda, haha I knew it! Btw, you mentioned something before about using gingerbreak to root for Tapfish. I think I'm going to use that for my phone. You think it's a good idea for me? I have a plain old Motorola Droid. Tapfish is now up to like 60+ mb on my phone... It's become a monster, and I need more space! I'm terrified using a random app will somehow compromise my phone to hackers or something bad will happen... Any help would, well.. help. Thanks again.
 
Glad you got your fishbucks back. One of my favorite breedables is the Ice Fish, but that's a whopping 68 bucks.

BTW, has anybody else been getting Force Close upon returning from visiting a neighbor? I'm getting it every time since the last update.
