Two questions about TapFish

I revived where Raynoldsk left off. There is one remaining in tank 22.

Please visit me and clean my tanks! --TapRos

This is pretty weird. I visited you and found a bunch of dead fish in your Tank 2. when I clicked them, it says you are playing an older version ofthe game and does not support neighbor revive feature. I didn't think I'd be able to revive them anyway because I just spent all my potion reviving Boxatoy's fish. Did you have an older version of your game? In this one you have 10 tanks, only one is named.
 
I just checked and the violet star is not an algae eater--just the sparkling ones.

I'm gonna get a green one--on the iPad version it is 5,000,000 coins, and I just can't spare them yet.

not sure if the servers store the phone number or the player name or what. I don't have a phone number for the iPad, and it worked, so they must have some id for us. I think we have a player id that we can change when we first start--or am I mis-remembering?

Thank you all sooooo much for reviving so many of my fish! I will definately visit all your tanks. I can't believe there is just one fish left! I thought for sure I'd have to flush them.
 
Did Mindbenda's problem get resolved? Sounds like aaazian has the same problem: started over with an unrestored game on the servers. Maybe an email to the devs would help?

Thanks, Obee, and everyone else who has visited and fed my fish or cleaned my tanks! :p I noticed my tanks were cleaned a little while ago but must have missed the notification telling me who cleaned them.
 
I'm curious - what has everyone won so far from the Jackpot Spin? My first jackpot gave me a purple starfish algae eater, which is very useful. But I was really puzzled by Raynold's football. I looked in all the decoration categories and didn't find any football. In fact, I didn't see anything in decorations that said they were available through Jackpot Spin. The only prizes I've seen are the two gourami fish (which are very nice) and the starfish. What other prizes are there? (Don't get me wrong - I don't want a football, I'm just curious :rolleyes: )
 
I think that football is part of some sports theme they are doing on the other version. Maybe since it is time for football season? I got some trophy today. It is worth 3225 coins so I'll just sell it.

Once I got fishbucks--maybe 5? And a gourami--but they are limited breedables over there and I can't get its mate because they aren't in that store.

I got a starfish for this spin.
 
Wait... you can spin more than once? I only got to spin once and got a starfish, but it won't let me spin again. It says I have to spend 25 fish bucks to spin again... Argh.
 
You can spin once every five days for free, if you have claimed thefour prior days by clicking the button. You always get some coins or xp for clicking, so go ahead and do it.

If you miss a day, though, you have to claim four more days to get the free spin.

My phone died on me today, it's just stuck at the T-Mobile screen & I can't get past that point.

I have Tap Fish installed & if I do a factory reset will I lose all my game data?

Just in case I can find a fix without doing a factory reset, can anyone look after my tank for me until I get my phone working again?

It's called "TheHotDog" - I have 6 tanks, I'd really appreciate it!

Raynoldsk, sorry you spent all your fishbucks by mistake. I've bought unwanted duplicates by tapping the screen instead of the menu button. It's too easy too make such a mistake.

I fed your fish and cleaned your tanks. Hope your phone gets fixed.
did you try removing the battery from your phone then putting it back? That fixes a freeze on mine.

Yes I've taken out the battery/reinserted a few times now but still no luck. Not really much else I can do at the moment as I'm at work.

If I did have to do a factory reset would I lose my Tap Fish data or can you re-download your tank from the servers?
 
From what I've read you should be able to restore it. I think you just redownload the app then go to the about tapfish option in the menu.

I am still trying to slowly level up and anyone who wants another neighbor can go ahead and add me. Same name as here...
 
It's so nice to come home to clean tanks and happy fish -- as well as extra coins and XPs! Thanks for everyone who has visited, even if someone else beat you to it. Please keep visiting -- right now I have a bunch of tanks that need cleaning!

I have tried to return the favors and enjoy seeing what other people are doing with their tanks. For example,, I think it's Obee... I love your flaming tree. Treetank, you have a ton of interesting tanks.

BTW, who else experienced the earthquake today? I am in DC, and we had a lot of people in the streets!
 
Egghill, what happened? I just visited your tanks and all your fish are dead and your tanks dirty! I cleaned some tanks and was able to revive only about 4 or 5 fish.

Weird, I just visited eghill's tanks and they are all dead and dirty too! I don't even see what you revived, Tapros... I think something is wrong with the server for his account, cause I looked at his tanks right after he posted and they were all fed and cleaned. Eghill, I'd contact the developers with the problem before you restart.
 
TapRos, no earthquakes here! I'm in Philly, so you'd think I'd feel some kind of effect from DC weather, but nothing! Though it has been raining a lot this past week... Are all of you okay?
 
Thanks, I don't think there were any serious injuries around here. It was just a little shaky and everyone in DC was out on the streets.
 
Are we allowed to clean only one friend's tanks per day? Cause I only get coins and xp from the first friends visit and up to a certain amount. Soon I get the "please wait two hours before cleaning/feeding again" pop-up. So does that mean any tanks I clean after that pop-up doesn't show up clean to you? To test this, TapRos, I just cleaned your tanks but got the pop-up, but then went on to feed and clean others. Check on tank "Green" and see if it's cleaned and fed.
