Root TWRP Backups 4.2.2 k2_cl(BoostMobile)

Well there is the regular trouble shooting. Did you do proper wipes before restoring (data cache and system I think?) as well as trying a factory reset? Sometimes something gets borked during installations and nothing going will work proper after that. I apologize if you've already addressed these steps but that's where I would go next. The old. splatterhand mod worked flawlessly for me, as did the Frosthax backups. Perhaps it might even be time to run through a RUU (rom update utility... Make sure to get the right one for your specific device and firmware) ? I wish I could give you better help but that's where my skills are at :) it is my understanding that Frosthax will help if you drop a pm his way as well.... If he doesn't stop in in this thread soon.

I tried everything I appreciate you helping me, but I guess this phone is just a butt. I guess I'll just deal with the low memory storage

it seems that for some it didnt like to cooperate in the backup.its odd cause it works flawless each time on mine.unsure why some are experiencing this.besy i can tell you is look for the onesvswapper mod 0.5 thats the one i used. follow directions carefully.install unassigned universal naked drivers help cause you need the adb commands to read in the recovery mode.

choose option stock it should revert the partitions back, then reflash the DI_mod to get it working.

i appoligize ive been on other things lately and sadly knew about this glitch occurance.but it seems to be random as only certain people experience this.im wondering also if there were more than one type of model made for the boost k2_cl
on another note if your not k2_cl you shouldnt have even tried this.

starting to wonder if i should have made this seperate with instructions.good possibility is you may also need to do a factory restore and erase format the cards before you try the backup.somethings hanging when it flashes and im not entirely sure its the backups fault persay

lmao in other words knoober nailed what this posts thoughts were in the matter.

i didnt even notice that until now.kudos knoober your starting to think like me lol

sidenote:i will run possible scenarios but i dont want to go through backup flashing again.sadly i dont have a test model so ive been trying to work things out on my own expense.im unsure people realise i only have one phone and ive reset it so many times ive bricked it.i know how to bring it back to life, but besides the point.everything i add after the backup i have to redo.it gets harder when the throttle mod still doesnt work and i get throttled in the middle of trying to self figure out things

Whoohoo! I'm smart like the android guys! Folks that don't know better are even starting to mistake me for knowledgeable. I usually bask in the glow a bit before bursting their bubble and sending them to Dr. Google

dr google lol.i went to the doctor,he was unclean and gave me a virus so i asked for my money back ;P

it all starts somewhere knoober lol we are not originally born with these answers,it has to originally come from somewhere ;)

1st) remember this is a backup, you don't flash it, you restore it. It has confused many here (myself included) but even then I don't think you would throw that error.

Try mounting the partition manually from the recovery. It will probably not work, but you can give it a shot. After that I'd be in the same boat as you.... Asking about it here :)

2) you could try a factory reset if you want. Doing so might out you back where you need to be in terms of mounting partitions. Then you can restore from a backup again and be on your way. :) good luck

Just an FYI I am on boost so i am using the right phone model. Anyway, I'm going to remove my external sd card throughout this process just in case. So I'm going to do an RUU then a factory reset (wipe every partition that it gives me the option to wipe) then restore your backup, if that doesn't work then my phone is just a butthead and it hates me lol wish me luck

Let us know how it goes. I hope it does work out for ya, as the backups from this post (I think at least) work wonderfully.

Alright its official, this phone hates me, my phone and sd card storage still says unavailable and I even formatted my external sd card and still nothing so my phone in particular is officially a butt.

Edit: I used another sd card and formatted and restored backup from that card and I waited for my phone to load for a bit, then I selected the option to erase my external sd card and waited a bit longer and it started working :)

so the issue seems to be with some sd cards being corrupt.kind of suspected that.i think its better if your system and cards are started on a clean slate.that way nothing can get stuck.

when i did the backup everything was wiped even my sd card.swapping too much data can always hang.swapping no data better chance.dunno if thats the scenario but eh i just made the backup.i dunno what all the swap mod can handle transfering ;P glad you got it situated though

on another note i dunno if this is part of the mod but once you go over the hill of the normal swap size it seems on certain things to cause an error on updates and such, but if you rerun those individually itll pass it thru.seems to stop that though once you pass the normal threshhold.then again it could be a result of me being thrittled atm and losing connection.eh unsure

I was wondering if I could add the tweaks from the debloated V3 backup into my phone?

I missed HTC sense so i went back to it but I want to have the tweaks there as well such as the cpu1 script

I know for sure you can add the sys.conf and the pure performance tweaks. Search "pure performance gold" and you'll find the zips to flash and I think the sys.conf link is in the OP. If you can't find t I know it's here in the forums as well and can point you at it (something about getting rid of throttle in the title IIRC)

As for the cpu stuff I think you can do it, but I don't know how without research, so perhaps Mr. Frosthax1 can give ya a hand with that :)

Thanks mind showing me just in case I get the wrong files?

And you're well on your way then! It might be in this thread, but it's certainly in the one sv section somewhere, but there is a debloat list that has worked pretty well (for me anyway) . You might be able to free up a little space if you can find that as well. I forget if you had the storage swap mod or not, but that is also a nice one to have.

The notification isnt anything to worry aobut and doesnt affect your performance. It might cause you some troubles if you have to send it in to HTC for repair is all. What were you trying to do before.... root? s-off? I forget what you have to do before it says that, but it happens somewhere along the line. Like i said though it is no big deal because it wont impact your performance. Hope this helps

I do appreciate your feedback I'll seek a means of contact with HTC to inquire with a agent in the field of tech I certainly am not even a novice..; I wasn't doing anything with the phone I picked it up from the charger and it was like this. I do not want to send this phone... back or lose this phones...data.
