Root Ultimate Droid 8 for Incredible

so its out and available to download, BlackdriodMod sign up, and have at it. Been waiting for this for a while now, looks great so far, make sure to clear data and cache, and might be good to clear Dalvik as well, as i think that was making my launcher force close. Looks great. Love the theming.

Bugs:
The camercord doesnt work/ camera works with koush's kernel installed (not tested with other kernels yet)

Another pretty annoying thing, is the download progress bar, there is no indication, from "empty to full", it's already full when you start the download.
 
It's only available for the Incredible right now, not the Droid, is probably what they meant ThatDude.
 
I have had a love/hate relationship with the Blackdroid over the years. There always seems to be so much drama surround him and his rom's. One thing I have learned over the time I had a D1 and now the incredible is that no one, and I mean NO one can put together a rom like BD. I really don't want to start drama here! I can just tell you that his roms offer things no body else's roms offer. Check it out for yourself. This rom is fast. My first run at Quadrant is a 1358. We all know that these scores tend to go up on the second try but I like comparing only the first run.

Looks pretty sweet. Been wanting to check out an AOSP build and I like some of the custom stuff he has in there. I'll probably wait until there's a legit and somewhat easy fix for the camera/camcorder issues first.
 
Does any of you know how to manually install Google Maps 4.4.0? The version it comes with is 4.3.1, and I cannot update through Market, because the installation would fail.

I remember we had this problem in older CM6.


**Alright, I hereby say this ROM is very unstable to be used on daily basis, it keeps rebooting. On a short use of 30mins, it has happened about 3-4 times now.**

Weird thing is, the reboots are short, it jumps to the unlock screen.
 
hmmm, this sounds rather appealing. how is this guy with updates? i'd like to steer clear of roms that won't see updates for several weeks at a time.
 
i don't have time to flash this right now or i'd be happy to report bugs. what i'd really like to know is:
1. does internal storage mount?
2. do led notifications work?

This. I too can't flash it right now to test. Also, does it use HID bluetooth?
