Root [UnBrick Guide]LG LEON LTE - MetroPCS (LGMS345) KDZ Firmware

If you have the option in Developer Options then you should be able to unlock that way

Help a brother out then. The lg developer site says it currently only supports oem unlock of lg g4 i believe it is.
Message me on hangouts, let's see if we can do this then...

I don't use hangouts but if you want to talk you can click the #Lept-dev irc link in my signature, the one on the right

Is there an option to download select system apps I might have deleted? Such as Accessibility? Thanks for anyone's help!

Just a heads up to anyone who uses this or has used it. This is stock Metro Firmware 5.1.1, it has been stated that the update locked the bootloader on the T-Mobile version of this device, it might be possible that the same happens to the Metro version. If that is the case I will try to figure something out for the people that have used this
oh geez i hope they dont do that ill be so pissed :(

They did do that on the Metro Variant.. and the thing is that they enabled the option to OEM unlock but no way to boot to fastboot and unlock. Right now, people on 10D are locked and cant unlock, I have tried stuff I have known to work to find an unlock but no success

this link shows current kdz files for all lg devices. should your leon be soft bricked for what ever reason, and you can still get into download mode, check this link for your model number and make sure your current version is lower than the current kdz release, and then you should be able to use the lg software tool to recover your device.

As of the time of this post, the current version for both Metro and T-mobile lg leon is 34510E. should be able to use the software tool to get the kdz booted on your device. The LG software tool will automatically download the correct kdz for your device and install it (if you know how to use LG software tool, If not, I suggest sticking to the OP for instructions to unbrick)

Might be because I'm on my mobile device, but i don't see link... Or signature for that matter...

Hey its srirachapepper on kik. I use irccloud's mobile app for IRC chat. It works really well and you can stay online and be idle even when your phone is off. I have a free grandfathered-in account but I think they charge now for new users.

Whoa, the .e update, is dated from today! Its brand new. Does anyone have the link to to kdz?

don't use the LG Desktop PC Suite and you won't be upgraded.

Is there any way to disable the .day update when it becomes a forced OTA update? Or will it be hard to figure that out until the OTA update comes out?

I will se if I can find the link for the 34510E kdz later tonight or tomorrow. But I will say this, IF youare running 34510B, PLEASE DO NOT FLASH ANY OF THESE KDZ FILES UNLESS YOU ARE SOFT BRICKED AND HAVE NO OTHER OPTION!!!! There is no know downgrade, or bootloader unlock method for 34510d or 34510e as of now, and the only root method I found that would work on 34510d, was kingroot. After running kingroot, I used supersu me from play store, and all was fine. But again beware, I am not responsible for what you do to your device, you assume all responsibility if something should go wrong. I am just trying tohelp soft bricked people get their devices back up and running. Nothing more, nothing less.....

Oh :-P My phone is soft bricked so hard to do that.

I plugged it in and lg mobile support tool says v10b. If I go into download mode and load the support tool it says 10B with an upgrade to 10E available so should I
  1. Try and upgrade to 10E via the support too?
  2. Use the OP method to flash 10D?
  3. Use the OP method to flash 10E?
It's a soft bricked phone for a month now so I'm not too concerned with what happens to it.

I suggest using o.o instructions to either go to 10b or 10e. Not much of a matter right now, as I am sure bootloader is locked inboth releases.

No bootloader is unlocked 10b do not flash 10e ...how did you brick?

The person is soft bricked on 10b. Must flash either 10d or 10e to come back to usable state, as far as my knowledge stretches... My phone doesn't like me today, it's taking my type and correcting it as it sees fit. I actually meantto say the first time that they should use OP instructions to either go to 10d or 10e. Either shouldn't matter as both 10d and 10e have locked bootloader.

Well I got to the last step but the LG tool keeps capping out on me:

My phone has the "Firmware Update" screen just fine and I can see the LGE Mobile USB as COM20 just fine so not sure where its breaking down.

It seems you have three choices =)
If it's fully charged and the other methods were unsuccessful, maybe using the tool to upgrade to 10E will be worth a try.
