You will need:
Drivers installed- https://www.box.com/shared/32c5t7fj2w8xcwr0krjo

This guide is intended for windows users. There is no way to unbrick this phone unless you are on windows due to the software being used for flashing only made for windows.
- Put your LG in download mode:
While powered off, volume up + plug in USB (thanks sortoh85). Connect a trustworthy USB cable- Open up LG Flash Tool
- Tick "Select Manual Mode"
- The DLL selected is called "LG870_20130528_LGFLASHv151.dll", find where you extracted that to
- Select Add, choose the tot file you downloaded.
- Press ok.
- Read instructions here on how to configure the COM Port and flash: LG Flash Tool - Free - no need B2B User/Pass - GSM-Forum

Does anyone have a backup to the Firmware or lg870-flashtools.zip? Both links are dead and my optimus f7 is currently unbootable due to an amateur error I did :/
Thanks a million for the mega links! I managed to get my phone fixed. Woot!~
thank you so much for the mega links.
You're either not doing a step or missing usb drivers. Using flash tool or uppercut etc. Is extremely easy. Post your exact personal steps. Not from a guide and we can see if we can do magic lol.nobody wants to help me??
I saw your p.m. I've been extremely busy today. XP is a 32 bit system so the drivers would conflict as I'm almost positive the device uses 64 bit drivers. These tools are made for a PC that does have the capability to run 64 bit.ok i figured out how to use the program but now i get an error. My LG Optimus F7 fails after 5 sec and said device module is different check phone or dll. My phone can't get pass the startup wizard and I am trying to flash back to stock. I am using a windows xp pc. What should I do?

I love Windows XP i made a pile full of joy flashing phones to boost using XP as the tool required a 32 bit OS. Use a friend or family members PC. I'm more then willing to help you fix your device.
ok best i can do is a laptop i have running windows 7 64-bit. ill try that and let u know what happens
I downloaded the files from the original post from Sammyz. Tried on desktop with XP and laptop with Windows 7 64-bit. Screenshots will have to wait till the morningAre you using the correct files? Laptop or desktop? And have you tried different cables and or usb ports?
