it says "VERNO... DLOAD MODE ERROR" or something

i just unbriked the virgin mobile version.

its kinda tricky but if u read carefully youll unbrick ur phone.
just read carefully on the flashing part i did it on my first attemp make sure u select the port 1 on port settings on the flashing tool...
again thank you very much for yalls help
again.
thanks.

After spending hours rooting and prepping my phone for a new ROM, I managed to brick my phone by unzipping the rom before placing it on the sdcard. Your guide took ten minutes and 5 of that was the flash tool constantly cycling the phone. Thanks for your hard work.

now to reinstall CWM and restore the back up...

Zero bricks a goal we can all live with

what if my elite is in a boot loop and when I connect it in download mode it it doesn't show up on my computer?
Turn the phone completely off and then hold both up and down volume buttons and then plug in the usb cable while still holding the up and down buttons. That should send you into download mode.

Make sure you have the proper drivers installed. With your device off hold volume +/- at the same time then insert your USB connection. Be sure to follow all the previous instructions by the OP.

Any instructions on how to properly use these directions on Ubuntu? The phone has the same problem, won't boot - gets stuck on the LG and android orb screens, but enters download mode. The computer that would be fixing this loop runs on Ubuntu. The other option is to fix it on a Mac. If there aren't any known directions for Ubuntu, how would you go about doing it on a Mac?

Soft bricked this phone 3 times on purpose via the factory reset faux pas just to try this out...these instructions work perfectly and are a great tool. For those familiar, it's very much like sbf(Motorola) ruu (HTC) or Odin (Samsung) you should be comfortable with process. Great post OP!

Thank you so much! I thought I was out of luck and I found this and it saved my phone. I have never done anything like this before, I wasnt even the one who rooted it or bricked it. Thank you:p

Anyone know how to unbrick a hard bricked lg ootimus elite? Doesn't trun on but still kills the battery. When connected to computer says QHSUSB_DLOAD

All files in zip are officially from LG (DLL,BIN,LG FLASH Tools)

I have a new method how too flash your bricked phone back to factory stock. This flash is the LG Official firmware. This flash will wipe out everything and correctly flash prl, stock recovery, all partition. So let the get the ball rolling and lets hopefully get your phone back too fully working. Please follow all steps no short cutting, or altering files may cause issues with hardware and software too your phone. Please make sure you can get your phone in download mode before doing anything else.

Notes- If your phone doesn't start the flash after pressing the arrow. just unplug the phone the download mode will stay on and replug in the usb port you used and within a few seconds it will begin.

Notes- Please use windows explorer too unzip the file so you can see LG folder too copy too c: drive of your pc. also once the phone reboots for the first time you can unplug the phone. also if you remember your msl number please do a ##786# enter your MSL so you will have a fresh voice and data.
For some reason I had to do this today, Worked as advertised....Thanks so much!!!

Where can i get dll and bill files for LG Optimus V (Sprint)? Or LG Optimus LS670? please, i really need your help. This seems to work only for LG Optimus Elite

Worked exactly as advertised. i would however add couple things to the guide to make it easier.

Go to mobile support website Insert Model number and under software update. Download USB drivers for Windows. OR
Download LG mobile support tool. Once installed , Start Mobile support tool and Install USB Drivers

When you startup LG flashtool.Select Manual mode.
Select LGFLASHv141.dll under dll.
Select Add VM696Z4 under S/W.
The setting menu pops up before anything else on startup, so this part was a little confusing.

Also once the phone restarts, the flashtool can be cancelled since it keeps advancing to 98% and then says flash failed after phone has been disconnected.

I'd also like to know if there is a fix for this - i think while flashing something borked the normal bootloader, i'f found the tools and drivers for this mode i just don't have the data(*.mbn files iirc) and xml partition map

I've looked for a fix but I probably didn't look hard enough. All I know is don't flash cwm for another phone for a totally different phone.

Oh, but i didn't flash a wrong rom/cwm... but i think it had more to do with flashing while on battery with less than optimal charge remaining :/
