What he said, touch screen and buttons ARE BECAUSE OF CWM! Don't use CWM no more. It is no longer supported by most custom ROMs since we have TWRP. Using CWM will pretty much leave your phone in a semi-brick.

The non-responsive screen was after flashing twrp..., and all the phone damage....
Because of the money cost that I had with my attempt to flash twrp, I want to check with you the steps to make things proper, but first I have to ask do I need to open a new thread?

So, with my fingers (and toes) crossed, I flashed twrp using flashify from Google store; when the phone reboot, I hold my breath, and IT WORKED!
Now, I have my cyanogen working, with working buttons, with working NFC!
Right now I wait for the phone to finish the update to the latest build.

So that means Macadamia Nut Cookie will take quite some time to bake for our L70......... LOL. But its a gd thing for our Lollipop to get much sweeter. Cheers.

@Shahell Salvin Deo I believe we won't see any M love until Q3 or Q4. I think that's when larger ROMs will start M development.

I personally am awaiting for M for this single reason:

Users can now add an SD card, which will then be adopted by the system to behave like internal storage. The memory card will be formatted and encrypted and will be seen like internal memory. You can then install apps and other private data easily onto the memory card.

Wow that's great, really great for the L70. Although I don't have this device anymore (I do but I have a G2 as my daily driver now) I'll still be following this forum. Once M comes out I'll flash just for this.
