Root unrooting help

Just read Ocn's post.


Sometimes you need to right click on the link and select "save target as" Then you'll get the prompt to save it. :)

Let us know if it'll download, if not, we'll figure out a way to get it to you.

Make sure once you do get it, that you name it exactly PC36IMG Don't add another.zip. Windows adds the extensions. ;)
 
didnt work granite. before i posted i tried looking in other places for it but no good. i really do have the worst luck lol
 
thank you ocn i tried the ruu earlier and it didnt work. it keeps saying there's an error and it cant complete it.
 
ok the good news is it worked ocn and i got it back to stock. problem is no s-on. i downloaded the other pc36img to get it to switch but it didnt work
 
Please note that the new OTA changes the Hboot to 2.18.001 If at all possible dont let sprint update your phone or im prety sure you wont be able to reroot.

what does it do? do you name it correctly? hopefully you did not get the two files mixed up as the will be named the same.
 
are you in the bootloader? so when you do the power+vol down nothing happens? if so then you are not in the right place. check the menu, if it says bootloader as one of your options then select that and that should take you to the bootlaoder. now see if it does anything.
 
when i hit vol down and power i get put on the boot screen where it says evt3 ship s-off with fastboot, recovery, clear storage, simlock and hboot usb. it scanned the pc 36img that time and did nothing. just sits on that screen

ok on that screen it is programmed to scan for a specific file name on the sd card. if it is not named correctly or not in the correct place on the sd card then it will not find it. the file needs to be named exactly PC36IMG with no extra zip at the end. also it has to be on the root of the card which means not in any folder, just on the card.
 
thats what it says next to hboot. i used a dif mem card that has nothing on it to do this and when i hit recovery i get the black screen with red triangle
