Uk government censoring stuff now are they lol...

Sounds good...can't see myself using it all the time... I say that now but I'm sure it's going to be useful..still its not that difficult moving your finger across the screen / using the track ball to see your homescreens.

It's the same as ALT + TAB | & | Windows Key + TAB on Vista / Win7...

Don't use it often but it's very useful

I don't see the point. Its nice but it only works with the home screens and its not that hard to switch between them normally.

Its not developed because the normal way is hard, that's completely missing the point! Its to make something unique and beautiful!

If we could do that to switch between running apps it would be sooooo awesome that I can't begin to describe its awesomeness.

I believe the new Sense has the 4 most recent apps apear in the notification bar to make it easier to switch :)

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

Don't worry, it's really very, very, very dull.

It's 8 minutes long, with about 7 minutes of watching the Hero boot up (or so it appears) 20 seconds of the film maker struggling to get the pinch to zoom working (his fault I think, not the Hero's), which does look quite nice btw and another 40 seconds of him fumbling in the menu. Very dull.

It's also in the wrong orientation so you have to lie down to watch it properly and the Hero only takes up about one sixth of the picture. Really badly made.

Did I mention it was dull?

The only bit you need to see:

Happy 2.1 is coming to hero, but this looks like one Sense feature that is not very useful. Interesting, but I cant see it being very helpful.

How does sense handle social networking now that most of what it did is now in 2.1 os?

The Facebook integration is a ton better. It automatically syncs your Facebook friends with the simlar names/phone numbers, and adds the others as individual contacts. On the downside, it notifies you of every update anyone has, so even those friends you don't necessarily care about pop up in the notification bar.

Doesn't it already do this.. -_-

Woot new update... just a shame we'll have to wait another 6 months for local providers to customise and release them to us :(

This pinch-to-zoom thing looks as good as its pointless... very...

Never mind that. Can't wait for the other updates! The mid of March is getting closeeer

:) Glad you liked it!

So, given the leak of the impending release of the HTC Legend in Holland which will ship with 2.1 in March, can we assume that it's in production already? March isn't that far away and even though I don't really know much about production and shipping, I can't imagine they can do it all overnight!

If that's the case, can we also assume that 2.1 with Sense is ready and waiting for the Hero but they don't want to release it until the Legend is out? I realise the legend and the Hero have slightly different hardware configs (and therefore may need slightly different software set ups), but not much really. Certainly makes sense. Obviously the Hero update has also been (apparently) officially announced for March by HTC Benelux, so it all adds up for me...

Starting to love those low-landers! ;)
