Help Update to Gingerbread

i just updated my phone to Gingerbread after the phone restarted i get this message..SORRY!"the application HTC sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again" i can't even use my phone.. this message keeps poping up...

try doing a soft reset. power off your phone or pull the battery out and wait 30 sec then put the battery back in and reboot. if not a factory reset maybe needed.
 
I'm trying to hard reset but everytime i press the down vol. key and the power button the phone just turns on... im not getting the hard reset screen

Go into settings and turn of fastboot. Turbo restart phone. If that doesn't work pull battery count to ten replace battery and then hold volume and power
Turbo is supposed to be turn off and.( damn autocorrect)

i just let the phone die then i try to do another hard restart... clear the data now im letting the phone charge
